I can confirm that new refurbs are using SPL-0.40, however it's an easy fix to flash back to 1.03.651.4 to get SPL 0.37, then HSPL_037 unlock works as it should. 1.03.651.3 uses SPL 0.35, so save yourself some time and trouble and just goto 1.03.651.4 first.

This is what I did. Flashed to 1.03.651.4 and booted, synced to my desktop, ran hardspl 037, unlocked, verified in boot loader, flashed to mr2 for radio update and booted into os and updated prl. Entered boot loader again and flashed my custom rom. All is well.

Yes it's a pita. heh

To get back SPL 0.40, just relock 0.37 and flash to MR2, then it will be SPL-0.40 again.

Where can I find 1.03.651.4? I just got my replacement Touch Pro and it is SPL 0.40. I get how to do the rest, but just can't seem to find how to flash 1.03.651.4 or where it is located. Thanks!

yes. go to the CDMA TP Upgrades section and click on "search this forum", then click on advanced search, then search Titles Only for cricket
