So I got my hands on the Sprint Version of the Touch Pro and am trying to get it on Alltel. I unlocked it using the steps on this forum. Even tho it is unlocked, can't get it to set up on Alltel. *228 doesn't work, and neither does ##000000. Any suggestions?

unlocker problems
 
Alltel touch pro - stock rom. Downloaded .37, extracted files and followed the prompts. Get error 202. downloaded manual unlocker and get windows error. Box under activesynce is cleared. tried different usb and different computer....stil nothing. I cannot get to the files withing the file. any help would be appreciated.

Have you followed the "Preparations" and the "Instructions" in the first post? Do you have Microsoft Activesync (for XP) or WMDC (for Vista) installed?

The answer to yoru question is that I think I have followed the instructions, but after your question I went back and looked at active synce and I an syncing with the PC AND Exchange server. I assume that I need to get rid of the exchange server and try it again!!!!

that did not help. I have latest .net and am on xp professional. I am synced with PC, but the instructions say "with windows mobile". I am not sure what that means, but I have 6.1 professional on phone and assume that I am in compliance with that instruction....when I try to run the manual version I get windows has encountered and unexpected error....any more thoughts.

Astral,
Use the SSPL Manual first, then run the RUU to unlock it. Worked for me. I was having the exact same issues.

it sounds like you are running the ssplmanual on the computer. If so, it needs to be run on the phone.

well I am closer. I acutally had not completely removed the exchange server from the process. Activesynce on my PC was still trying to find it. Had to delete the phone and set it back up with just the pc. Am now on the tir-color screen. I remember reading about this so I just have to go back and find out how to get past that....closer, but not there yet....

Did you run the unlocker? What does it say after SPL on your tri-color screen?

the tri color say .25 spl....I cannot get to the RUU files on the SD card or on my computer what now

I got it to work..took several tries...now have .37 comex...guess I am good to go!!!!!!
