Yes, that is correct.

stock SPL will end with .0000 whereas Hard-SPL ends with .cmonex

Okay - One more question. After unlocking & flashing with Nex's rom can I restore backup from Sprite backup?

I backed up phone before unlocking..

I am having a little trouble unlocking my VZW TP. I run the VZW_HSPL_035.exe and it gets all the way to the update button, i clicked update and a prompt came up on my phone, i hit yes, then it went to the rainbow screen and everything disconnected. Thats when I get a connection error from the ruu. Now everytime I try to redo it, i click update and it goes straight to the rainbow screen with no prompts, and my activesync disconnects and I get an error...Any ideas? Thanks

Try disconnecting the phone waiting thirty seconds then reconnect the phone. Windows hsoudl try to load some device drivers. I think the nescasary drivers are not loading in time thats why it errors out. Should be trying to load "Microsoft USB Sync" drivers. Reconnecting cabling may solve. ITs your ocmputer and not the unlocker.

Thank you for your help. I tried your advice, yet the same thing happens. As soon as the bootloader screen comes up activesync on my computer closes, thus closing the connection. Why is it closing?

Couple of troubleshooting steps I would try...

1. Reboot your computer and phone before trying again.
2. Use a different USB port.
3. Use a different USB cable.
4. Do not have any other programs running except activesync and the unlocker.
5. Keep your phone still, flat. Do not pick it up during the process. (I know weird, but if it is a cable/connection problem, this could help)
6. Make sure all the files are in the same folder for unlocking.

Hey all -- Would someone who has unlocked their phone -- but not yet reflashed -- try updating with *228, option 2? I unlocked this morning (haven't reflashed yet) and now I'm unable to update.

Don't know if it's a coincidence or what, but I'm curious to find out.
