Sorry for the noob question, but is it recommended to run the HSPL_037.exe after a hard reset or does it matter?

Also, would the HSPL_037.exe need to be run again after a hard reset?

Thanks for the help!

hspl is there to stay period hard reset wont get rid of it and as far as your first question goes, it doesn't really matter when you run the hspl. you will be doing plently of hard resets lol

Bootloader would not run automatically, so I entered manually, and the update hung at 0% and gave a communication error. Any ideas?

Any reason 25 mfg comes up as "Raph" instead of "Hermann" like the default Sprint was?

You have to make sure your devices syncs with activesync frist then allow it to enter the SSPL. If you try to enter the BL manually it enters in 37 instead of 25 mfg and can't update.

Are u insuring u have microsoft activesync installed and synced prior to running? Also if using Vista since Vista sucks be sure to run as ADMIN to alleviate any chance of issue.

I tried this still no good, so I got it to get to the tricolor screen by putting the manual.exe file and then pressing the vol.down and soft reset and holding the power button. once it got there, it just hung at 0% and it gave me a 262 connection error that it couldn't communicate with the device.
do you think I have a defective device? eventhough I was able to sync with activesync.

I was told in another forum to put the .nbh file in the sd card and then it should work.

any suggestions/ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like u got bad drivers plug the phone in and check device manager for questions marks or red x's also insure u r not using a usb hub. The likelyhood of your device being defective is rare based on what u said.

Also u can not flash new bootloader from entering using the method u stated I would go reread post one very thoroughly.

Ok, I will check my drivers, but this happened in 2 different computers. one with vista and one with xp. if it was a bad driver wouldn't it give me the same problem when I sync with activesync?

I will check device drivers when I get back.
Thanks.

I checked device driver, everything is fine there. when I am in tricolor screen it says security unlocked.
raph800
spl-0.37.000
MicroP-Hermann

and then it just hangs at 0% and gives me connection error 262 or update error.

I don't know what else to do so if anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.

Thanks.

Once again u really need to reread the first post u CANNOT FLASH A NEW BOOTLOADER FROM THE BOOTLOADER SCREEN U ARE ENTERING NOWHERE DOES IT SAY TO ENTER BOOTLOADER BY ENTERING THE KEY COMBINATION. I would say try being all eyes instead of all ears and read the post.

here's my advise.

read post #1, then backup data, hard reset, then read post #1 again.
make sure to follow step by step... and if needed get a XP machine and then it should work fine...

AH, that was messed up, read one post and nearly messed myself then read the next reaffirming what I already knew. LOL, I am just going to use the current one I guess. I just got too comfortable with nueSPL on the titan and now prefer it.

I'm having the same Error 202 - Connection issues someone reported a while back. It says at 0% and n ever goes to the 3 color screen. I don't see any faulty drivers. I'm on XP SP3, I have 2.0 .NET SP1, I have active sync 4.5 build 5096. Any help would be appreciated, thanks fellas.

Try installing the latest version of .net framework on your computer.

Thanks, I just realized I had 2.0 instead of 3.5 (link in front page is broken) I'll try again after a reset.

***For those of you that it worked for, do you guys have.net 3.5 Only? or 1.1/2.0 and 3.5 also?

I guess, I am talking about what he has for the mogul that you run and you check a few boxs and then it flash's and unlocks or locks depending on what one you ran. Anyway, i finally bit the bullet and just did it the old fashion way :-) I just got used to using his stuff with the mogul and have bluetooth syncing and everything and havn't used a cord to connect to my desktop in a while and was being stubborn for a few days.

Ok maybe Im just loosing it or something.

I wanted just to see if I could use one of the new ROMS out of curiousity.

I installed the SPl .37

So I usually use a RUU but the only RUU I could find Hermans
errors at 1% and says that my Device ID is not for this ROM???

Sorry I read for like an hour and could not find anything.

If I put the nbh (named properly) on and empty SD card and go into bootloader nothing happens.

Am I missing something?

elgreek84 11-06-2008 03:21 AM

Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

There's an RUU in another thread here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=43266 and I don't know if you need to rename the nbh file, maybsomeone else could confirm that, maybe it's RAPHIMG.nbh or something.

cdigitaldetroit 11-06-2008 03:28 AM

Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

To unlock the bootloader, you should not be using any other RUU than waht is supplied in the first post of this thread. You WILL NOT be able to unlock your boatloader from SD card. At least not until no2chem releases his solution. Either way, it's not the same as flashing a rom from SD card.
