I can confirm that new refurbs are using SPL-0.40, however it's an easy fix to flash back to 1.03.651.4 to get SPL 0.37, then HSPL_037 unlock works as it should. 1.03.651.3 uses SPL 0.35, so save yourself some time and trouble and just goto 1.03.651.4 first.

This is what I did. Flashed to 1.03.651.4 and booted, synced to my desktop, ran hardspl 037, unlocked, verified in boot loader, flashed to mr2 for radio update and booted into os and updated prl. Entered boot loader again and flashed my custom rom. All is well.

Yes it's a pita. heh

To get back SPL 0.40, just relock 0.37 and flash to MR2, then it will be SPL-0.40 again.

Mine was acting very odd while trying to unlock it via stock rom flash to attain SPL 37.
First flash to 1.03.651.4 would not unlock or boot past boot screen.
So I flashed to 1.03.651.3 and it booted and showed me SPL 35 on bootloader.
Ok.... So I then flashed 1.03.651.4 over that and low and behold I was somehow back at SPL 40. WTF? No idea.

So after a few more flashes and back to 1.03.651.4 it finally took and booted enough to unlock.

It should have been an easy process but I have no idea how it went from SPL 35 back to SPL 40 with no SPL 40 locker or SPL 40 rom being flashed back to the device.
Very weird indeed.

All fixed up now and running custom rom again.
Thought I would share the Twilight Zone experience with you all and see if anyone else had seen this.

Edit: That may have been what was happening.
I was not able to unlock the device so maybe the flash between the two somehow put SPL 40 back on the device.
In stead of giving me SPL 37 it bounced back to SPL 40.

I had never seen that before but this is only my second TP that has needed to be unlocked.

I just unlocked a new refurb which came with the newer v2.01 official ROM and radio. It worked fine, but I did it the manual way in the other thread.

Hmm, i've been to fast and i didn't read the "important", so i ran the HSPL for VRZ, and my phone is GSM.

I've just seeing that it's wrotten it will brick my device, but are there no way to fixe my phone (my TP don't boot no longer).

Next time i'll be more patient...

that's weird. it should not have let you do that because of mismatched model id. can you still put it into bootloader mode? what spl version does it show on bootloader screen? is there a shipped rom for your carrier/device?

I cannot do anything. No normal boot, no bootloader mode, i tried to remove/replace the battery, push confirme button+voldown and after, power button but nothing happened. I ran the manual-HSPL, and the device turn off since this action.

You wonderd what's rom had i ? It was the FRE Operator ROM SFR (available here : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...ael_WM6.1_ROMs)

I think i've made a great sh*t... :/

Hold power,volume down and reset all at the same time.
Should open bootloader and enable reflash.
Reflash to a stock rom and make sure the device works ok.
Unlock and then flash custom.

i got my TP activesynced. But whenever i runRaphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.exe, it would detect my device and the rom as 1.03.651.3 and say if i want to upgrade the rom to 0.37.spl. i ask it to proceed but after a while it just gives error 202 connection. Anyone can help me out? thanks
