Freedom Series ROMS.... For the "General Flashaholic". Remember when Juicy would keep us current and on the bleeding edge... Its TIME. Third run... Three Versions COM2 COM5 and COM8. COM5 Is first up, cause its been stable... and I build off it.

THIS ROM IS THIRD RELEASE!!! :occasion5: Thanks to Those who downloaded the previous ROMS. I've Learned Too much in the past month. Special Thanks To Twisted Dan, Gizelle, SuperMod Rstoyguy, and all of you that gave your love for the loss of my yayo pup. I almost quit. THIS ROM IS for Y'all. Without any further..

I Plan on doing a lite/VZW compatible rom, in the future. Probably not near future but IT IS on the list. **Yes There is a List.. and a TimeLine, Its not etched in stone. It keeps me focused**





PS... To the community. I have a TP... I dont see myself leaving anytime soon. No Flash on a camera phone is a dealbreaker for me So my TP1 will be around for a bit longer =D

For Now This will be a sort of Need to Know Quicklist starting with....

1. BoostMobile is in the MMS carrier list
2. Default Browser is Opera 9.7 ... Opera 10 is nice but not yet default worthy IMO

5. XTask / XHook has won the TaskMgr Battle ... Its is what is showing the open programs on the taskbar. Think Swype...

Xtask/Xhook Initial Setup Suggestions:

Xhook/Xtask is the chosen task mgr combo... IT IS WHAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLOSING PROGRAMS WHEN YOU PRESS X. Xhook runs in mem and calls up xtask when it is needed. They WORK TOGETHER. Functionalty is similar to the Windows (desktop) taskbar. You can switch between open programs, minimize, close all.... all with one "sywpe" from the taskbar. Pictures updated for new version.... and the precooked settings should be easier to use now. EVERYTHING to the left of the messaging icon is now an active "start hook" hotspot. Manila users that dont want to see that icon all the time when in manila... can now just "swype" from that icon in the taskbar to the exceptions hotspot to clear the icon. You can do this for ANY app you do not want to see (EVER) in the taskbar.

Xhook sometimes loses its on-top focus... just drag as usual, It will do the right thing.

The reason I havent posted screenshots is I Havent done ANY visual mods. Im skinning the version im building now and THAT will be what I consider a "proper" release. The tsk files Psyki Kitchen are incompatible w/ COM3+ and I'm not a fan of the sqaure bottom button themes So for now using indiagroove's Gblack.tsk. Its simple and clean. NRG's Nice... I respect his work, but IMO his ROMs KILL my battery. Build for Build Sys for Sys ANY Caulkin, Groove or Psyki based ROM outperforms his in the battery dept, So far to date..IMO.

nxt, dont take it to the heart. u released a rom to the public and expect criticism whether cons or pos. base upon that one can improve the latter. so if u dont meet peeps expectations, are u "using" unnecessary bandwith.

Its good to see psyki's Rom continued. His final release is still the most stable and usable Rom I've ever flashed. And that's after trying 8+ different roms. Good luck to you and hope you make good progress. The chefs here make windows mobile worth using, thank you!

Damn it! I was really hoping Psyki would come over to the TP2 dark side. His ROM's were easily my favorite for the TP, so I'll just have to remain jealous that his talents remain reserved for the TP.

Thanks for the hard work nextpimp but this ROM hasn't worked out well for me. I thought maybe it was because I was too excited to try it out and didn't do a hard reset, but even after two hard resets I'm still having problems. I'll list a few in case you want to work on them or others can confirm, but maybe these issues are isolated to myself. I'm not bashing you ;) I'm running on Sprint and the only changes I've made were setting up Autosync with m.google.com. Previously, I have had Psyki4 running since the middle of November (which ran great!).

- Locks up frequently. Locked right now when it tried loading an e-mail message. It got the message open but displays "Loading Message" on the bottom and no response to any attempts to unlock.
- Pandora doesn't work. Cuts off the end of most songs (known issue but worked w/the Psyki4 ROM)
- Locked up when I ran google maps the first time. Accepted the user agreement and locked immediately after.
- Randomly resets. Nothing will be running when it resets.

If I just need some tips, that may be the case. I generally try to do my research on things but I was spoiled by Psyki's last release being an "out of the box" solution so I've been a little lax. Thanks again and gl w/the future updates.

No probs here only what it was said b4 on post. Maybe bad flash or dl an appl not cmpatible with the rom. I have Sprint and use 32 on pagepool. Works for m all the time besides always doing a flashdance b4 new ROM specially coming from NRG no direspect, found that neede to flashdance after using NRGZ. Nextpimp will have a better input though.

Im on It... Been busy teaching myself how 2 theme, cab edit, build cabs ect. Also Trying to figure out a default sense 2.5 wallpaper solution. Again Im CLOSE. Final version 2days maybe sooner. I havent even Begun to look into that location tab issue

You can login to fb on the data settings bar in the Manila settings tab OR set up the "My Contact" card Off of the "All People" button of the People Tab.

@Droobie ... Just Update ... There were personal reasons behind me using 28014. Many users DO NOT like that sys. I kinda Understand why. Still, I was getting very decent battery life on a sys that is KNOWN to be lagging in that dept. I've made a move towards performance...kinda interested to see what kind of feedback i get.

I did the flash dance after reporting my problems yesterday and still run into similar issues. I also noticed that when I switch to landscape while trying to add my account information in on Start>Settings>Connections>AccountManager that I lose visibility (turns black) of the whole screen other than the text box, causing me to slide back/forth. I'll wait for your update (because I really do dig your ROM) and hope my issues end up being resolved one way or another. Thanks again.

Thanks G... But Ive seen more swype than the law allows, Must have dl'ed 20 swype cabs to keep 2, but thats just ME LOL... Hopefully If there are no more critical issues, I'll let this one sit for a while.

@Droobie.... No Landscape in Manila 2.5 My friend ... at least not yet for VGA. Im sure its on the horizon. If you see a vga rom w Manila 2.5 Landscape enabled LET ME KNOW and I'll get back in the LAB.

Those of you who downloaded between This and My LAST post need to Re-download. SYS 28205 has/had a bug in which the incoming call screen does not display caller id. Issue has been Addressed and DL LINK HAS been updated. 2016 txt issue has also been addressed

I dont have that issue on my current build... makes me think that you were one of the unlucky 8 that downloaded during the 3 hour timespan that the rom was broken. If you're incoming call screen doesn't show # or caller photo... you need to re-download. Sorry for the inconvieniece, but I would call 3 hours for a fix "timely" :thumbright:

Im cranking these out like a machine LOL.... Sooner or later one of these will earn the right to sit for a while. Theres enough changes in THIS NEW ROM to justify calling it a new REV... so ... Rev02 NOW =D. IDK ... They keep getting FASTER... I havent had one of these on my phone long enough to guage the battery but i get the feeling I'm gonna have to start paying for the SPEED somehow.

@fun_gary ... If you're peeking ... I did get the chance to play with the inet sharing. It works on the cable... It works over wifi. Now BT, unfortunately I cant test... I see can change/setup the BT settings AFTER i have a cable plugged in, so Im Assuming since active sync should still work over bt... that inetsharing would work for you. Funny thing is is that the wmodem setting should give you the option to bT netshare but it does not seem to .. gonna play more. I'll map out a link to the netsharing called up by usbpopup in the next build ... hmmm now there's something for the testers.

So far Hotmail is working just fine. I have run into the same problem with the text messages however. I am going to see if it has anything to do with Myphone downloading over 600 texts into it. I will stop that from happening and just start texting around to see if the same thing happens. If it is not related to that, it may just be that this build has that issue with it.

I recall Captn'Throwback over @ XDA and ED/TP having a similar issue. Ive really been concerning myself with the BASE SYS as of late. I dont use too many apps. The ROM is LOADED for the Public. Thought out Loud ... The more I use it the More I HATE opera10 beta. It looks good, loads fast, but thats it ... Its like a diseased stripper, looks good, but you dont want whats inside.

So far loving this rom but....
I hate the task manager.... or I should say I'm apparently too stupid to understand how to use it even with your posted pictures.
What happened to the simple X you click and close apps.... geez... why did everyone have to fix what wasn't broke?

I'm thinkiing you may need 4 more batteries.... i've lost 40% power in 1 hour and i've made one phone call. more time will tell...

lol... the task mgr ... I needed something that closed programs w/ X on the bottom. So that when you click the X things close. Why...because it IS broke for the newer builds of Windows Mobile!!! Xhook runs in the backround and if you cant config it .. COOL. It'll do its thing and you should'nt get into any trouble. When you do it right you WILL SEE the line... like a swype trace path.. and the green txt hotspots should come up. So for i only need to manually close is album and then only in manila. Everything else closes ok. That lil program is doing the manila fix too for this build. If you're in manila... you can see the icon, just drag from the icon to the middle of the screen. Better said drag from the icon to the hotspot you want... task man, close... fileman.. what have you. It'll be obvious when you got it... you'll be drawing a line on your screen.

The good thing is...You can always see running tasks ... and they're In the Taskbar. :thumbleft: You'll See if you need to manually close something and the start drag spot will be MUCH easier to find..lol. A good place to play2learn is the compose sms. practice dragging from the open app (the mail icon in taskbar) to the middle, then over where you want to go.

EDIT: ... Yeah I think Pushed the gas a lil hard on this one ... knew this speed was gonna cost a bit. Gotta put some caps on things. Leaving windows full reign over ram allocation has NEVER been a good idea. At this point... reducing the PP will probably save some battery life .... but since were running full dynamic cache, might as well go dynamic PP too. May be whats needed to get the battery life in order cause the speed is crazzzzzzyy
