Question Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 011010 CE OS 5.2.28011 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Still lovin the SKI on my Pro. Just updated my daughter's Diamond to PMD ROMz 2.5.28005-120609 because Mighty 6.5 wasn't "like yours, dad." Took a bit to sent hers up, not quite as "out of the box" as this one is, but still perfectly functional, with the usual tweaks (ie. Arcsoft MMS for Alltel, add Swype, Sip change). I gotta admit, PMD's is pretty smooth on the Diamond. I'll give it a few days and see how it holds up to a 15 year old. If it lasts, I'm considering a switch. As much as I love SKI's ROM, the 4k recieved MMS stuff is really starting to annoy me. People, I text huge amounts every month, thousands, and hundreds of pics both directions. It's getting bad when someone asks what I thought of a pic they sent me and I have to tell them sorry, I got it, but I can't see it! I got a taste of 6.5.x and 2.5 Sense, and there's just no going back from it. I can't. I'm hooked (on Swype too), but I can still go sideways.

Exclamation Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 011010 CE OS 5.2.28011 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Ok, ran into the same super small mms received problem on Lunacie ROM too. Tried the same old same old workaround, installing Arcsoft Alltel and not using HTC threaded, basically going back to the old way. Guess I'll sit with the lunacie ROM until someone comes up with a fix. First one that does I'll be testing, because I REALLY like the new HTC threaded sms/mms, but kinda like being able to actually SEE the pics that are sent to me...

I have Sprint and I have seen this issue sporadically with different ROMs. Sometimes with this one, sometimes not. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I live in a small town between Tampa and Ft. Myers, FL and when My Location works properly (99% of the time) it shows the correct city name. Every once in a while, usually right after a flash before setting QuickGPS to auto update, it gives me My Location as Brentwood. I have no idea where Brentwood is, but it has been snowing there so I don't think its even in FL. The point being, after setting QGPS to auto update, removing the 7 built in cities and having weather update every hour even when roaming, I have no more issues with My Location picking me up in my small SW FL town.

OK guys I'm currently running the 2.1 Sense. So couple things how do I get back the regular slider like the 2.5. Secondly how do I get the regular clock and weather panel? Thanks..

I'll be honest I'm really starting to think that 2.1 is the way to go. Everything works and all I'm missing is the visual bookmarks that SKI worked so hard on, and the tweeter tab. So I just got MoTweets and its great.

Well the sense 2.1 has some cool features and it just works. For example of course you have full landscape support, and the facebook works perfect. It has animated weather just like 2.5, I have the same email page, the same calendar. So essentially it has everything 2.5 has plus landscape and facebook. I'm only missing two things the tweeter tab and visual bookmarks. Good news though I have that entire setup saved so I can go back anytime. The only thing I'm not liking is the retractable slider and the icons. I'm looking to remove it and get back the sense 2.5 slider.

Hey zone-
As the retractable slider is cooked in, I'm 99% sure you'll need The Man himself to unhide it for you.

Ya I'm having zero luck with that. I'm also not having too much luck finding the default weather panel and a clear clock like NRGz. I'm going to have to make a decision on which way to go at this point.

Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 011010 CE OS 5.2.28011 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

OK...iagodfather was correct. Rose Garden Place is a road near where I loaded up, and there is indeed a tower there...wow strange!

OK, so now I have a few more questions, and I am continuing to pile through the 100's of pages for answers also. First, I am running Maxmanila v2.7 on my touch pro. On the maxmanila page, it shows a single analogue clock on the display. For the life of me I cant find how to enable that. Just that, not the digital clock. Like in my attached pic. Although I would rather have a translucent clock like one of the ones farther down the page but as I said, for the life of me I cant figure out how to do it, nor can I find an option for clocks. I see in Maxmanila v2.81 there is a button to cycle through clocks, but I dont see it in 2.7

My other issue, and again, Im still looking, is how to remove the little 4 item quick launch bar above the bottom curtain...the one with calls, calandar, texts, and email. To me its redundant, and would rather use the calandar and missed calls feature on the main part of the home page.

And lastly, Im trying to find a way to go back to the old school text window like in WINMO 6.1. Possible?

Thats for the help guys-
