Or maybe a combination of installed programs. But yeah... if I install the ROM clean (and I do a full flash dance on every install) and don't install anything the ROM is perfect. Not a single issue. *

*shrugs* I took off Lumus and haven't noticed the BSOD for awhile now so I will keep monitoring it and see what happens.

Anyone noticed the g-Sensor thing? It seems to try to start up and then nothing.

I have a couple thoughts on this.
Do you have a plastic or rubber case on your phone and keep it in your pocket? I've had problems in the past with phones locking up. I think it is static related.

Do you use a holster case with a magnetic closure? Also had problems with this only when I put it in the holster with the screen side towards the magnet closure (on my TP2)

I've read before that static buildup in the pocket can cause phones to lock up and somewhere else that the holsters magnetic flap closure can cause some problems.

Just a thought.

Hey have anyone been able to receive video mms? I just tested three and was not able to receive anything but a message saying who it is from and i can see the size of the message in the all messages screen.

Also when trying to reply to the message it shows as if i am trying to reply to a email message.

This has never happened in the past anyone knows what is going on?

Like Dave said-if you have a ton of txt stored that could slow things down.

Once I turn off XT9 on the SIP the hard kb is fine.

Thanks for the tips - yeah I'm probably pushing it with my 1500+ texts (every single one since I got the phone back in '08 -- Hey, there's some good S--- in there! :-\")

I sorta had the same problem with my 3 email accounts. I set it to download everything (except attachments). 3500+ emails later it was still running great, until I had to reset... it took over 15 minutes to boot back up! Why don't they have a 60 or 90 day option on email????

How do you keep your text messages from one flash to the next?

I seen a few people mention this but i thought i would ask since i never seen a statement on how this process works.

PIMbackup or alike. i'm sure sprite/spb can do it as well. my phone/google sync probably work fine too

Hey dudes - a quickie on BSOD.

I've been getting random BSOD since we all started flashing Sense from TouchFlo. It used to be much worse than it has been more recently, but every now and again I'll find my phone is "blacked out" and unresponsive [reuiqres a soft reset]. I do run Lumos - the same config I've always run on every ROM. Taking it off in the past has never made a difference [I've gotten BSOD with or without]. I also never put the phone in my pocket or in a holster. It's cradled mostly or on the table in front of me.

My guess on the whole BSOD thing is that it's the software taking its toll on our underpowered devices. This would explain why it's different from one user to the next, with some never experiencing it. ...but that's just a guess.

All in all, a glorious ROM.

Hmmm.. interesting theory. I did notice that there were sometimes when I pulled my phone out of my pocket to try to wake it up and it wouldnt wake up. Only its also happened while I was at work and had the phone just sitting idle on my desk.

Interestingly enough I have not had it happen for about two days now. I can't confirm if this is just coincidence or related to my uninstalling lumus. I found with Lumus that my screen brightness hovered right around 30 or 40 anyways so I don't think I really need it.

Thanks for the theory though. It might have been a combination of things or two applications that werent playing nicely with each other. Who knows...

Thanks Three! You could be right. Its not the first time I have gotten them in a ROM. Come to think of it... when I was not getting it was when I was on SlimRoot so you might have something there with the performance issue. Maybe some combination of how many apps installed that run in the background can cause it. Then its possible that Lumus had nothing to do with it directly, but removing Lumus may have put me under the magical threshold of background running apps that might trigger the BSOD. That certainly seems to make sense as when I first started noticing this I remember uninstalling various apps and noting that I could go long periods of time and not get a reoccurance which would then lead me to believe that it was ok.. then I would start reinstalling apps one by one and waiting a good bit between installs to see if one of the installs triggered the problem. Now if its a combination of these apps running in the background and/or apps with processes running I could see why this would appear so random and different per user.

Yeah I can not receive either. I *think* it has to do with the Album version used but no one else is asking so either it's just you and me or no one else tries to receive videos. I'll try and test some stuff and post up if I fix it.

 Dude, those #'s are nutso.
Even if there's "good spit in there" all 1500 (!) cant be worth saving.
I use my phone to read my email on the go but store everything online and/or on the lappy. I txt moderately but dont save a thing. I'd try clearing out the glut, I'm sure you'd see better performance.
