i havent kept up with the root forum lately due to a crazy idea of switching to energyrom for awhile. i would like to announce myself as another firm believer that roots roms r da shiznite! quick question though... has there been any development getting the gtx rom to work with cookies 1.7.1? btw... im loving the new 4/18 rootromls. great work man!

Has anyone found a dialer skin that works with RootRom? ive been exploring around trying to find one that works and just cant. all of them either are misaligned/not even close to right. I think theyre all for WM 6.1. Dinik's Anastasia dialer is supposed to be for 6.5x but it doesnt work for me either. its like its meant for a taller resolution screen so only half the dialer is on the screen. (it is posted in the HD2 forums, i just thought maybe it would work).

HD2 is wvga so it will not fit.
Try phonex but be aware the people tab won't allow call out.

I like PhonEX a lot but it does have its limitations when it comes to integrating with HTC Sense. Like Root mentioned, you can't use the people tab and if you do not disable the WM phone, performance suffers. There is a setting in PhonEX to disable WM phone and it requires a soft reset. However, I found that leaving WM phone enabled you could use the people tab but the results were hit and miss.
Also, PhonEX has its own threded texting program which is nice but again, not integrated with Sense.
Iconsoft does offer a 15 day trial and at times has a promotion going where you can get the full version for free (like I did) by blogging about it and sending iconsoft a link to the posts (blog or forum posts).
As far as skinning goes, the do have a few skins and color schemes that you can download for it.

Give it a try, at least it as a 15 day trial.

I'd complain about needing a new ROM, but the 4/18 version has been rock solid for me.

4/18 is rock solid , good batt life.

A very satisfying 6.5.5.ROM for everyday use

+1!! I know what you mean. I've been swamped myself that I actually forgot i was running some trial software that expired yesterday. Had to HR for the hell of it.
