Re: [ROM] 05/18/10 | Fresh Toast v2.1 | BFS + Overclock + EXT4 | Newest RUU

I had the sam problems with the phone app crashing and locking up not alowing me to answer calls. The reason I looked to a custom rom was because of lag issues with the dialer and ten I got this Tost rom and I kept getting FC's. The one problem I can't live with is problems with the dialer. If I can't make o reciee calls 100% of the timeit is no good to me.

Re: [ROM] 05/18/10 | Fresh Toast v2.1 | BFS + Overclock + EXT4 | Newest RUU

Hi, I just got the HTC hero through Alltel, I'm looking to flash this rom onto the phone but had a question first... even though this is a sprint rom, will it work on my Alltel service or would it brick the phone?

Thanks.

Re: [ROM] 05/18/10 | Fresh Toast v2.1 | BFS + Overclock + EXT4 | Newest RUU

I hope someone can help me. I was running Fresh 1.1 and trying to upgrade to Toast 2.1....... I couldnt get it to work, it keeps going to the HTC logo and vibrating and flashing a few times. I ended up partitioning the sdcard and wiping all my files. I put the Toast zip back on and tried again but I keep getting stuck at the HTC logo. I'm about to load my Nandroid back on and try to fix it back to 1.1 or 1.56 whichever it is referred to as. Any ideas why I am getting stuck at the HTC?? I'm getting nervous that I will not be able to fix it.

Thanks,

Re: [ROM] 05/18/10 | Fresh Toast v2.1 | BFS + Overclock + EXT4 | Newest RUU

I was able to flash the old fresh 1.1 and it worked like a charm, so I wonder why toast is not working. I used Nandroid restore and bart restore (whatever that is) and my phone is back where i started, thankfully. So now i'm going to try flashing toast right over without wiping and see what happens. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Flashing directly over fresh 1.1 did not work either. Any ideas why or how I should go from fresh 1.1 to the new toast? Am I missing something?

Thanks

For anyone that needs it, there is a fix at xda-developers that fixes the Force Close on incoming call. Its in this thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705074

I take no credit, i was reading and found it. Be sure to give thanks to the Dev.

I haven't flashed yet either, but it looks like you just flash over fresh toast 2.1 or any fresh based rom...

It appears that the problem is with the Overclock kernel Huh??? That helps alot. I am going to install this and I will post on the results in a few days. i have to give i enough time to see if I still get dropped calls. This is great as I was about to go back to the RUU

Re: [ROM] 05/18/10 | Fresh Toast v2.1 | BFS + Overclock + EXT4 | Newest RUU

I really want to run this ROM but I have flashed it like 4 times. Clean install etc....and every time I do it I have no service... none. Its like the radio isnt even there. SO I updated the radio using the one on this thread and it still will not work. I am going back to Fresh Hero but I really want to use this ROM so I can overclock it.
Is there a way to update the kernal on Fresh Rom 2.4.0 so that I can successfully use an overclock app or widget??
