Just for clarity-no, you don't HAVE to partition BUT if you don't you are going to have about 100MB of free space left. That alone was enough for me to partition (plus having a 32GB card, I could spare 2GB )
Plus, it appears that a lot of ppl that didnt partition are having issues.
It's just an Alpha (Alpha--->Beta--->Release Candidate--->Full Release ROM, for those not aware) but if you want to check it out, I'd partition.

there may be other files that the netarchy kernel overwrote, I'm not sure which files would need to be restored.....you might be better off just reflashing the ROM

Can anyone confirm that the HTC Mail no longer deletes emails from your Inbox once they are removed from the server? On the old Froyo ROM, if I went online and deleted emails from my Inbox and then went back to my phone and did a refresh it would delete those emails. Now even if I delete them from online I still must delete them on the phone.

if you are using IMAP, when u delete from the server then refresh on the phone the email will disappear, but this is not the case w/ POP3

Yea, I know that but the client on Froyo would do it on POP3. I did a automatic setup of Comcast and it worked that way. Did the automatic on this ROM and it doesn't work that way anymore.

I'm pretty sure Comcast doesn't operate a IMAP server.

ok, just to clarify, which GB ROM are u using?

I compared the comcast settings for my Froyo 4.6 rom, GB 5.0 ROM, and GB Sense 2.1 ROM, and the Comcast settings are the same.

but I did find the "delete from server" setting was set to 1 on the Froyo & GB 5.0 ROMs, but set to 0, on the Sense 2.1 ROM....these are just default settings, you should be able to manually change in settings....I looked at my accounts but didn't see.

I'm currently using your GB 5.0 with Sense 2.0. Before I was using your Froyo 4.1 I used that until the GB5 came out.

omj, or anyone else with more android knowledge than me (pretty much anyone), can you post instructions or a link to instructions for partitioning the sd card for use with certain roms? figured it wouldn't hurt to learn a little bit more and figure it out before flashing the kingdom rom that is ultimately cooked. thanks.
