OMJ, do you think it is possible to do a ROM based on the EVO 3D's rom when it comes out like the newest sense. I don't care about 3D etc. Just wondering if that would even be feasible sense the 3d evo will have a dual core processor. Just thought that after all the bloatware is removed it could possibly run on a regular EVO. Saw over at xda they are trying to port sense 3.0 off of an HTC Sensation phone so that's why I ask.

Just flashed. Doesn't seem much different from Froyo Sense, but fast and smooth so far. I think I still like AOSP better, but this one should please Sense fans. 4G finally seems to work consistently, for the first time on any GB rom I've tried... hope it keeps working. :wink:

Some mods I miss from OMJ's previous roms:

-Notification bar animations
-Translucent notification tray
-Shortcut buttons on the notification tray (wifi, gps, etc)
-Expanded power menu with bootloader and recovery options

Hoping these come back eventually. :-)

The new sense 2.1 is so bad ass. Had to reflash after using titanium back up the first time. Just installed all my old apps manually. Why would i do that? Because it's that cool. Battery life looks like it sucks real bad. No big deal. You're the man OMJ!

So flashed new rom...noticed PPC wallpaper but not the keybroad...
Is there something else I have to do?

Rest assured the mods will come as soon as an official rather than a test build is out

Another note on sense 2.1. Sense resets every time I try using the gps. I can deal with it for now. Sense 2.1 is that good. Can't wait for the kinks to be worked out.

u can download the app "QuickBoot' from the Market....

since this is a leaked TEST ROM, there are not many hacks/mods being made for it......

sorry but I have no idea.....does this happen only on one particular ROM? if so, maybe a funky flash.....wipe all & reflash....

thx, but amaikam & virus get the credit.......yes, Sense 2.1 is bad ass, I'll probably be staying on this ROM, too many cool features, and I dont use 4g or camcorder....hopefully the official evo update w/ have sense 2.1

keyboard is there, you have to switch to it, by long pressing in a input box, then select input method

Had to flash back to gb 5.0. Had issues with voicemail and facebook as well. It was real cool to play with. Excited for the future.

yeah, it has a few bugs....I got gps working without crashing sense, the vm is minor, havent see any issues w/ fb

I read at Mik site to make sure "911 only" was not selected.....I changed it, and didn't have the issue anymore.

Awesome. I read that too. Thanks for verifying that it works. Sense 2.1 is so much cooler. I might go back to it and just deal with having to dial in to get my voicemails. I'm in Phoenix, so I don't need 4g and I never record videos.

I am using the GB 5.0 right now. I am having a VM issue. It shows I have a new voicemail, but in reality I have no new VM. It keep showing in the top with a sign and in the bottom half of my locked screen. It shows the VM is from my own number. Any one had the same issue? How to fix it ?

I installed this rom 2 days ago and there are some things i like about it and some things i had some questions about.

1 is anyone having issues with Caller ID in call waiting
2 is anyone else having issues with the Voice Search or Speech 2 Text
3 i miss the control center in the curtin


1. i love the new icons
2. my battery has almost doubled
3. and even with it loaded down with texts and phonecalls and my apps it still runs flippin snappy!!

I have been using this rom OMJ_EVO_2.3.3_Gingerbread_Sense_2.1_odexed-signed this thing is bad ass OMJ thank you for you work and everyone else that contibuted this is my daily use rom right now I just wished that when you go from 2.2 to 2.3 we could restore email and contacts with titanium backup that is my only draw back other than that it is another masterpiece...

Notice my radio verison is not the same shown in the images, I have 2.15.00.11.19. Is that good or bad? And is there a NEED to update the radio if so please explain why someone...thanks

Is the camcorder and battery issue fixed in this ROM?

I installed the first one and it ate my 3500MAH battery in like 4 hours.

Not sure whats going on...I DL'ed GB Sense2.1 to my desktop and then copy/paste the file on my SD card in my phone but file will not and does not show once I look for file on phone. What am I missing here?

Hey omj, let me first say thank you for making such quality roms. I have been using you for a billion years... ok maybe only a couple but ever since i bought my HTC Touch. Everything so far seems very smooth, very snappy. I love to death the almost instant shut down and power on. AMAZING!! Thank you!

no, it's not necessary to update your radio....I used the 11.19 radio for a week or so on the new GB ROMs, I just updated the other day. I havent really seen any difference....

hey Tony....you've been quiet....which ROM? the Sense 2.1 ROM camcorder does not work...Sense 2.1 also seems to be harder on the battery.....hopefully the official GB ROM w/ have Sense 2.1 & be perfected.

weird, the file name should be OMJ_EVO_2.3.3_Gingerbread_Sense_2.1_odexed-signed.zip, the size should be 214mb

the only thing I can think of if it's not a .zip the phone wont show it in recovery.

Dont mean to be a pain OMJ...
THe file is .zip but for some reason I can not get it to DL directly on my SD card or to stay on my SD card id transfered off PC. I cant help but fill like its something wrong with my SD card but I ask you because I figure you know WAY MORE than I do when it comes to these phones.
I noticed folders I delete from SD card while in disk drive mode repair on the phone once SD card is prepared by phone...Same thing when I try to copy/paste GB zip file to phone...it shows on SD card (looking on PC/ phone on Disk Drive mode) but once I disconnect phone...no file on card...Could my card be corrupt? Should I reformat my SD (wipe it clean) and reflash rom? If so any files I will def need to place back on SD card?

I'm pretty new to android, and new to my Evo...I'm using the OMJ GB rom and can't figure out how to turn the screen brightness down....the standard display option doesn't work.....Is there something different I should try?

I went to 4.6....my extended battery was dead after 6 hours....so something wasn't working for me, maybe 4.6 will be better.

Ok I think I just my issues worst. I reformatted the SD card off the phone without thinking it through obviously...and not my phone will not reboot...what files do I need to put back on the SD card to get my phone to work...please someone HELP ASAP!!!

your phone wont boot at all?

if so.....hold down volume down while pressing the power button....hold it down until you get into bootloader, then choose the option for recovery....use the vol up/down to scroll, power button to select. once in recovery, choose usb toggle, now u should be able to copy ROM to sd card from pc, and flash.

I was able to get the phone to boot up. I'm really at a lost here though with my phones SD card. Like I said before I reformatted the card off the home and it read all data will be erased. I then removed the SD card and installed it on my pc and my pc would not read it. I then figured I would try it on the phone again...it took long to boot but it finally did and to my surprise all the files were either still or back on my sd card.

I know this is suppose to be a GB thread so I want to apologize to everyone for posting my issue here but it happened some where in-between flashing GB v5 and GB sense.

Any suggestions?

I'm an a$$ I didn't reformat the SD card. I return phone to factory setting. I still do think there's something wrong with my SD card and would like to reformat it before spending money on a new one. So I'm back to my 2nd to last question...what files do I need to place back on SD card once formatted?

Has anyone happened to get OpenVPN installed on GB?
Also it is confirmed that Firefox isn't working on GB, next beta should have an fix. It has something to do with the zipalign?
