I am trying this Rom out and have noticed I am not getting notified of new voicemails. Any ideas. Any help appreciated

I noticed when I didnt install the 3.0 lockscreen I was getting notice of a text message through the blinking light. When I installed the lockscreen, Im no longer getting the SMS message and Im using Handcent. Im gonna try a couple more texts with the lockscreen and then reflash without the lockscreen to make sure this is the issue.

You have got to be kidding me!? Damn it HTC! The coolest thing about my phone is that I get to hang out in here and try new ROM's. I don't think I'm gonna switch if it's locked.

My upgrade is on 6/18, so hopefully I'll have a couple weeks to wait and see if the community can get it rooted.

I would stay @ 1.90, unless your awake/up are the same, then downgrade to 1.77

I just rebuild my account everytime....but I found a shortcut :) . I added my ISP email settings in the \system\customize\MNS\default.xml file so all I have to do is enter the email addy & password, then it automatically sets up the account

How do you/is it possible to add stuff to the 3.0 lockscreen to drag the ring to and launch it? Or does this ported version not have that functionality?

Also, do u think I could take the notification bubble from the 3.0 sms/mms, re-name it and Morph it into the mail apk so the two would match?

I wish...those features in 3.o lockscreen would be cool, but they don't work....I keep hearing that someone looking into it but havent seen any results....

never had this problem before, i know the file is good because i just used it to flash my friends phone and it worked, we were both on the same rom (V5.0) and we're both on same recovery, i don't know what's causing mine to get stuck on boot loop.

OK Crap!

1.3 was running sweet last night and this morning until about 10:00 am when I noticed my data connection was gone and the cell signal as well (had the x). I think this happened a couple of times on Mik's rom (same as the base OMJ is using) but a re-boot brought everything back. This morning when it happened and I did a re-boot ... boot loop from HELL ! GRRR! Then battery pull, wipe cache and dalvik x2 and re-boot... boot loop from HELL AGAIN! Even more GRRRR!!!!

I had just showed up at the golf course but can't remember if I ran my Golf Logix app before it happened or not but had to do a nand of Mik 4.62 so I could get Golf Logix GPS up and running. When I did so, no more probs with data connection or cell signal and app ran fine for the whole round.

Considering putting 1.3 back on and running the Golf app to see if it repeats that prob in order to troubleshoot a little. Anybody else seen their data connection or cell signal randomly shutting down? (I didn't even have "enable always on mobile data" un-checked b/c I have the 2600 ext batt so I don't need to do so)

On another note: @OMJ or anybody who knows...

Can we add any of the Sense 2.1 pkgs to a 2.2 rom like Mik 4.62? What I would really like is a hybrid b/c I didn't care much for the new 3.0 sms/mms pkg but liked some of the new options in Sense 2.1.

Edit: ... OMJ... or do you have the 2.1 sms/mms apk that I could replace the 3.0 one with? (think I'm about to put the rom back on and do the troubleshooting I mentioned)

Edit 2: After re-installing v1.3 it was the Golf Logix app that is not playing nice with 2.3.3 :( ... kills the data and cell svc everytime I run the app DAMMIT! I use this app every week GRRR! Really love this rom and hate that I will have to do a nand restore to Mik 4.62 everytime I play golf (pretty much every week)! ... also, I grabbed the 2.1 mms.apk and odex from MikG v0.50 and re-placed it pre-flash and it worked fine :)

First, I have been running the 5.0 rom for some time and has been solid as hell. The new 2.1 roms is great, big improvement from the last. So far so good. Thank You

As far at netflix I cant get anything to stream but I was having that problem on 5.0 as well.

Had that issue as well... you need to use root explorer to copy and replace the htclockscreen.apk in system/app after you enable the stock android lockscreen like OMJ said. Then once you get it replaced, go to the permissions of the apk while still in system/app and make sure only the following permissions are checked:

Owner: read and write
Group: read
Others: read

Make sure root explorer is in mount as r/w mode when you do this (it should already be or you couldn't have overwritten the file) so that the permissions will actually re-set. Then re-boot, go into setting and change the lockscreen again... you will have the 3.0 lockscreen and it will stay after re-boot.

I had to do this for it to work. I assume you could also push it with ADB which is probably what OMJ did but It's just quicker for me to do it this way since I'm on the road a lot and don't always have my computer to plug into.

Edit: Just tried this again after a re-install of 1.3 and didn't have any luck ... weird? Done messing with it for now , may try again later and if I get it to work I will re-post

@Vancer sorry to hear about your data trouble, I haven't seen any of those issues but it looks like u have it narrowed down to that particular app.

@sprintevo & @PropagandaX the netflix issue is w/ GB ROMs running Sense... apparently it's working on aosp but not Sense...in time there should be a fix

@dottat & @billyapd21 I just tested the 3.0 lockscreen & sure enough it didn't stick on reboot.....I'll have to do some testing....I installed the apk as I had instructed, but I'll test using adb & root explorer

Problem with Voice Search

Anyone having an issue with Voice Search?

It might be common to roms based on the leaked rom. It happens with this rom as well as with fresh.

When using Voice Search the mic hardly picks up my voice, when it does, it's result always starts with "cg"..

Anyone else confirm?

Yep, I can't get either of them working either. Thanks, I will uninstall and put the green one back on mine. But mine is old, does the newer versions make it faster? Netflix is hit or miss on the blurry-ness. Is it the service (Sprint) or the phone?

I typically dont see much difference in the different version of wifi tether

I haven't tested netflix, but most ppl say it's not working on a GB Sense rom

I'm getting the "Low on space" error.
I've read all I have to do is partition my SD card. I guess I need to know if any of your ROMs supports EXT4 ?
And if the steps on post 2 here [Script][A2SD]Darktremor 2.7.5.3 Beta 04 [HeroCDMA] (01/29/2011) - xda-developers are still accurate. Has everyone else already done this and/or is this recommended? Should I make any adjustments to those steps or that looks good to go?

EvoZone Misfit

I have been home for a couple weeks out of work and have flashed about 6 ROMS in the last couple weeks to see what was out there. I was on OMJ 4.5 for the longest time and needed to see some GB. EvoZone Misfit was the most stable I ran across. Too many had stability issues and didnt like the hiccups. I was on EvoZone until u released yours. Other than the lockscreen disappearing when I reboot, all is well.

One issue I did have while reflashing back to 2.3.3 GB (OMJ)was a force close on Setup. I did a Culkin format all and it didnt correct it, so I had to go in Am Ra to wipe everything separably. Couple times I also ran into a FC of the market and had to reflash again (2.3.3 OMJ). Handcent wont flash an indicator, but I have fouond that to be true for all the GB ROMS. Text alerts come through on stock, but not HC.

this is the downside to these ports, always running into some goofy issues, that's why I've always preferred to use a EVO base ROM, but this just gives ppl options.

I've seen the FC on setup just once, it appeared a few times, then somehow corrected itself & was fine.

OMJ's EVO 2.3.3 GingerBread w/ Sense 2.1 v1.3 (post #1) is a ported ROM from the EVO Shift which has Sense 2.1

OMJ's EVO 2.3.3 GingerBread v5.0 (post #2) is a leaked ROM for the EVO, but has Sense 1.0 (it's an early version of the GB update that will soon come to EVO, so it's more official)

Hey OMJ. I'm running EvoZone Misfits speedy port RC1 odex. No problems to report to this point. Everything works flawlessly. Give it a look.

It might be common to roms based on the leaked rom. It happens with this rom as well as with fresh.

When using Voice Search the mic hardly picks up my voice, when it does, it's result always starts with "cg"..

Anyone else confirm?

I had the same issue... All I did was go Menu>setting>Voice Input & output
Select the second option on the list (Test-to-speech setting), once there tap "install Voice Data" I followed the directions and it was all fixed up.

Hope that helps!

So I was on CM7 and decided to switch to OMJ cause its Sense based and I missed that. But I just flashed and it found out that the brightness bug sucks. Can somebody tell me if there is a way to use OMJ and but "ACTUALLY" turn the brightness down like in CM7? I know there are ways to darken the screen where as it puts a filter on the screen but it still kills my battery life. So if not I will need to switch back to CM7 until OMJ and the other
Sense based ROM's can actually turn the brightness down.
