so i see that desktop visualizer does not work on this.. kinda a bummer..

Not sure what you are referring to, but Desktop Visualizer works fine for me. I am on RC9 currently however and will make the jump again, when it hits 1.0

Make sure your Desktop Visualizer is on your Phone and not SD Card. That will make a difference
