I've discovered that I just have to reboot and install everything BEFORE I install the new kernel.
Funny thing that happened after installing the kernel this time (it happened before, but not as severely) all non-system widgets became either the VoiceMail widget or showed as unavailable. Not a big deal, just interesting.
If I have any issues beyond that, I'll try the stock kernel first. Heck, it only takes a minute to flash the kernel.
and don't forget it has a OC|UV|TWISTED|TURNED|UPSIDEDOWN| kernel already cooked in.

Flashed tonight and going to try with that kernel for a bit.
One thing- the battery issue is back. I'm only showing discharge amounts of 20% at a time & when charging, it's cycling through some really strange images. [Full->1/4 charged->1/2 charge->85% charge->Full...] Maybe use the battery fix file??

Also, when I did a Titanium backup, it screwed up all of my home pages; a few of them are blocking of unused space for no apparent reason.

The default battery gauge in the ROM is 20%. The gauge looks like the 1% because I replaced the images with the ones from the 1% gauge. So they look the same. You need the 1% fix on post #1. I'm still working to fix this but it only takes 20 seconds to flash it so its not real high on my list. Kind of need a break from flashing. Usually you get those blocks when the widget is missing. I assume you tried rebooting or reapplying the widget after it was restored?

I thought I did... but apparently not. After the most recent reboot, everything is available. Still strange that it happens after a backup... not a restore.

Well if you think about a widget is like any app. It can't be backed up if its running. Titanium shuts down apps to back them up. They just didn't start back up.
