i doscovered that my sirius XM app wont play anymore. it can log in but it keeps telling me it cannot get a data connection but everything else works fine. any ideas?

Has nothing to do with anyones ROM, but has to do with the latest firmware update for the evo. Once again it broke a lot of radio apps. It still works over wifi though for now. Make sure you notify Sirius of the problem too.

I must report that since flashing to the newest update I have had MAJOR! battery issues... going from 100% to 21% in 30 minutes of no use... burned up two battery chargers, and now the phone will not power on at all... only pray that I am not out 499 dollars... Merry F%@king christmas

That is definitely not rom related. What kind of battery chargers are you using that they "burned up?" Are you using the original battery or an aftermarket one?

This doesn't sound like a rom issue... but rather something else hardware related. If I were you, take it to the nearest $print store and see if there is some kind of warranty you can claim. I would not tell them that you have rooted the phone at all... if there were anyway to reroot the phone prior to taking it in I would do that, but seeing as you say the phone is now in a power off condition it's likely that if the techs cant get it to power on as well they will just replace it

Ok... to answer some questions first... it was the OEM battery, the charger that burned up (quit working, no actual fire) was the OEM wall charger for my wifes Samsung Moment... I took the phone into the sprint store today (still rooted, running the latest "sprint lovers" rom, with Root explorer right on the home page) I would not take a rooted phone in for service, but since I could not even power the phone I had no choice... the tech replaced the battery then powered the phone to see if everything was ok... I was worried... he kinda smiled at me and recomended that I uninstall task killer, gave me a new charger for my wifes phone, wished me a merry christmas and sent me on my way. I am happy to report that after being fully charged, this new battery has only droped to 82% after being off the charger for at least 4 or 5 hours with moderate use. Chris, I want to appologize, I love your work, and ment no dis-respect, I will say that my battery issue started overnight, the same day I flashed the newest update... just a strange coincidence perhaps. Anyhow, merry christmas to all... especially Hector, service tech at the Sprint store in Springfield MO.

Thanks chris. this is the first time I've tried sprint lovers, and its working great. up to now, I have just run the stock sprint rom , with kings BFS #11. Now running your latest, with the same kernal. phones running great, fast,(overclocked to 1.26), everything is working fine. I've had my phone on since 5:00am, it's now 9:00pm, and I still have 69% bat left. very good. Thank you.

I've met that guy... he knows that ppl root their phones and tries everything he can to NOT let $print get the best of their customers. Glad that you got it resolved!
