I don't remember seeing it but I would try updating to the new version. Do a NAND backup first in case you want to go back after!

Ok- I have wiped everything again, re-flashed the stand-alone 9/17 ROM, and Swype is still not working. I had also uninstalled Swype and then re-installed it, unfortunately with the same results. I would figure that after wiping and re-flashing with a new ROM it would enable me to use Swype again.

Unless you are part of the current beta for swype I think your out of luck. All versions of the 1.56 swypes have expired as far as I can tell. If you're a member of the beta test then you would be able to download the latest version which I believe is 1.61. If you're not a member of the beta test it will not work because it requires a username and password to install. Unfortunately the current beta test is closed so there is no telling when a fix for this will be available. Hopefully they will make it available again or someone will hack it so we can install it again. If you want to uninstall the cop you have use Titanium Backup.

Thanks Chris, and Cruise- guess I'm gonna have to wait until Swype gets around to having another beta or release the final product. Thank you for the info fellas.

Talking Re: [ROM] 9/17/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | FROYO | Offical 3.26.651.6| Radio/Wimax 4G All-In

So far good Chris, Had an issue with Market and Titanium Backup when restoring all my apps. Some of them did not get the market link attached to it and was not showing up in Downloads. I do not know if its my sd card acting up/bad backups or the rom. However, I just removed and re-downloaded the ten or so that flaked out and all is well over here. I appreciate it.

Is this only possible in the paid version of titanium, or how did you do it?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I'm using the free version, just open up Titanium Backup and find the app in the list of programs, press and hold app and a dialog box will open and select delete.

Ok sorry, but when you say find the app in the list of programs, what selection are you using to generate the list, is it the Backup/Restore button at the top center? If so when I use that to get a list of all apps and hold on swype, I get a a list of options, but delete is not one of them. If I hit menu and then Batch and select one of those options, pressing and holding an item doesn't pull up a menu of options.

Re: [ROM] 9/17/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | FROYO | Offical 3.26.651.6| Radio/Wimax 4G All-In

Chris, you've done it AGAIN! I was a long time supporter and frequent flasher of your Sprint Lovers' Roms for the TP2. I jumped ship and got into Android when the EVO first came out. I have been holding off on rooting because I didn't see the need as I don't tether. That was up until last night when I finally said let me see what all the hoopla is about. All I can say is WOW! The process was a little more involved than Windows Mobile but in the end it was all worth it. This thing is ULTRA FAST, INSANELY SMOOTH, and most importantly I didn't lose any stock features. I like the fact that you have the Radio and Wimax all in one. It makes it so much easier. Once again thanks Chris and, like before, look for a donation from me soon.

use the backup/restore tab. tap the program you want to uninstall and select uninstall. you do not hold on it just tap it.
