Have you tried redownloading? I know it's an ongoing issue that sometimes DL's get corrupted from 4shared or Megaupload and that is beyond my control. I can verify that before posting I load each version on my phone to confirm that they install and boot correctly. If you redownload and neither version installs please report back.

Chris, re-downloaded prior to my reply. Deleted both files... on HD and copy on SD card. Downloaded 2nd time, both 1st & 2nd 10/16 files were same size. Re-copied over to SD Card and fails during reading of file on SD with msg: Invalid or wrong type... flashes msg quickly... don't recall exact msg. After wiping & reloading Virus or Warm2Point... retry PC36IMG file with fail on 2nd and successful on 1st. If it's just me, then I'm not sure what I'm doing... but always possible I'm brain frating somewhere in the process! What is new in 10/16 vs 10/15... didn't see any notes? Thanks again!

is therre a verison of this UPDATE I can put OVER the one I am using now so I dont lose any settings, programs, sense setup etc?

Actually, if its just the widgets that were updated, and not system software, is there a way to get the widgets as installers?? I bet we could do that but the REBOOT thing in the power menu probably has to be a system update... thanks for any answers :)

Chris I am seeing the same thing with the 10/16 download as what dougcjohn is reporting. I redownloaded several times to double check for a corrupt download. My co-worker attempted as well after I informed him on your update and his did the same thing. I will give it another try and see what happens.

There is probably a common factor between you guys. I am thinking possibly the recovery versions that you guys are using. My ROM's are not signed so perhaps if your recovery version is looking for only signed roms it might cause the issue. The PC36IMG should not have that issue as far as I know though. I can sign the rom and re-upload but it probably won't be good to go for a few hours. As I said though coming from my ROM's and installing new updates I have zero issues as to what you reported with installation probelems.

Chris, Thanks for the ROM; always enjoy your builds! I've used your past Roms with no problems, always been able to install without a problem. Previous ROMs all like the 10/15 & installed easily, the 10/16 is the 1st I've encountered issues. The 10/15 is apx 200meg, the 10/16 is apx 260meg. Main diff appears to be USERDATA.IMG @ 30meg compared to 10/16 USERDATA.img @ 164meg. What is the sigificant difference to increase 130Meg... more Goodies or different compile? Again, Always enjoy your work & ROM... Looking forward to trying the new build! Thanks!

I am having the same problem. I rooted my phone using the unrEVoked forever process, could this be the problem?

Thank you for spotting that issue within the PC36IMG.zip. I am fixing the file as we speak and reuploading. The standalone file should install just fine and I have just downloaded and reinstalled it.
