Re: [ROM] 10/14/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | Offical 3.29.651.5| Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In

Theres something wrong when i go into bootloader, itll read the rom but wont ask to update. So when i go to recovery to try to flash from sd, it says "cannot find update script"
Edit: this is for the 10/14/2010 all-in-update.

The All-In-One update should be named PC36IMG.zip and should be placed in the root of the SD Card. Power off the phone and then while holding the VOLUME DOWN button, power up the phone and it should enter bootloader and automatically scan the PC36IMG.zip file and prompt to install. This version is not meant to be flashed from recovery. Hope this helps.

Is there any way to update without erasing all of my apps/data and other things?

Thanks.

orbxx7, I am having the same problem. I do not understand why a .zip file was not created so it can just be installed through recovery. My phone finds the PC36IMG file but does not prompt for install or anything it just acts like its doing something but does nothing. I think I may just go back to using freshhhhhhhh.

Flashed the latest version earlier today. So far everything is smooth sailing. Nice job, Chris!

There are two separate updates guys. An all in one and a standalone .zip. try the standalone version if you don't want to overwrite your apps and report back.

Question... I noticed that the wireless teather application seems to stop working after a while. I had it on for 5 hours and had to restart the program two times. Any ideas why?

I would assume we could do the update version of the rom so we don't erase settings, programs etc.

This seems to be a common issue when using Wirless Tether. Search the forums and you will read others have reported the same.

You guys can give it a shot and see how the update works as far as erasing your apps/data. I personally always wipe system/cache prior to any rom update. I am also going to toss out a new update for you guys today which will include a few more HTC widgets. Check back in about 30 minutes.
