Re: [ROM] 9/23/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | FROYO | Offical 3.29.651.5| Radio/Wimax 4G All-In

One question I do have on this rom though Chris is the same problem I had on the last rom. It's not a big deal but my location is not accurate. I live in Parlin but my location keeps showing South Amboy. Is there a way to get the correct location? Anywhere else I go the location is correct except for when I am home. The stock rom always showed my city. Like I said it's not a big deal so if it can't be fixed it's no biggie.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

My phone keeps rebooting everytime I try to restore my apps from titanium backup, anyone else having this issue or know of a remedy? TIA

Check your settings in Titanium Backup, I had no problem using it to restore my apps and data. You may have a setting selected that causes the reboot.

I am not sure if you are in the same boat as me but I have the Sprint Airave and when I updated to Froyo, my location was way off. It was showing me 50 miles South of my actual location when within the Airave coverage. I got the new Airvana Airave (Airave 2) and this seems to have fixed the issue. I called Sprint about this previously and they said they know all about the issue and that there is nothing that they can do to fix it right now. I spoke to an Airave tech who said it has to do with the way that the Airave gathers it's location data and that it is using the router's main access server which is usually not where you home is.

If you don't have the Airave, try going to applications and then running apps and clear the data under the weather provider app and then redownload weather location and see if this helps.

I can say that my location seems to be working fine now though.

PS, the new Gmail app suck or have it always sucked. I can't even download a music file from it and when I hit preview it takes me to the URL link for google. I emailed it to my other google account (which is under the system mail set up) and BOOOMMM there goes the download to my cell... Maybe I'm doing something wrong, and if so, sorry gmail... In addition I like the option of only having 7days synced and not my entire email history... but on the flipside on the regular mail I hate the fact that it's only 5min sync. I wont instant sync... ok I'm done crying...

GREAT ROM, no issues. The issues I thought I had yesterday was because my SD card was full, went home, cleaned it up, and everything works great...

I'm confused on the wimax. I used the terminal emulator and it shows I have 26023 for Wimax. Over at XDA they have 26023_R01. Do I have the latest wimax even though emulator does not show r01?

I don't have the Airave but I'll definitely try what you suggested when I get home this evening. Thanks again.

Hey Chris if possible can you post up a build that don't have uninstallable apps? It seems that every time I do a factory reset, all the apps that are uninstallable vanish from the ROM for some reason...

Thats because they are not locked into system memory.
