That's not what i meant. I had omj v2.1 stock kernal on my phone, did ##786# msl hard reset, and got PRI updated on 5th try, then flashed v3.0.

My wife's phone is already at omj v3.0, and i am trying to ##786# msl hard reset to get PRI, has anyone else been successful with this?

If it needs to be in "fixing" language. Has anyone successfully "fixed" the PRI AFTER flashing v3.0?

I dont know if anyone has had success or not, but I would suggest keep trying, or flash her phone back to a previous ROM.

Riptide. Any theme that worked on the last ROM should work on this one. ie. Froyoized themes.

Tells me if I'm doing this wrong. So everytime you flash a new rom you'll have to go to Titanium backup and restore your back up to get all your apps back. This process takes me over 20 minutes to do it. It seems like a nuisance. It's bc even though I'm running a batch update I still have to click Install then Done over 100 times. Man it really sucks.

I know you are trying the data.img swap but I've been told the paid version of TiBackup is more automated so you dont have to allow each restore.

Mine are in the 140MB range. Like OMJ said you may need to clean things up a bit. Do you have a ton of SMS that you are trying to backup/restore?

OMJ, are you overclocking your latest rom? If so, what settings are you using?

I've had the ROM to both ends of the extreme with no ill effects 128 on the low end and 1.15 on the high end.

I am so tired of rebooting but I am glad it's over now, well for now anyway..until the next thing comes up.
Restoring my backup as I type and will be ready to go in a few minutes.
Thank you everyone for all your help.

 I hereby dub thee "Pitbull" for sticking with it. Nice! :)

I can restore my backup from yesterday before I put the theme on. What could be holding this up? This worries me because I don't mind losing one day's worth of stuff but If I can't restore a themed backup then a nanbackup with a theme is worthless. Ughhh!

No issues here. Are you wiping prior to restore, as if you are flashing a ROM?

no...the PRI update comes from Sprint, I cannot include in the rom

Like the Man (and myself) have said-PRI/PRL/Radios are all separate from the ROM.

The ROM should not have any bearing on the update. As this thread has shown it can take A LOT of attempts and people have come at it from all different ROMs. TRE's idea of restoring a older version can't hurt though.

No, I never did do a wipe before a restore. Never had a problem except with the backups that contain themes. I will have to try it but not tonight, I'm "wiped" myself.

Thanks

Boot into rom mgr recovery. Go to advanced. You are looking for advanced restore. It allows u to restore data via recovery menu. Data only. I've done it quite a few times cuz I had/have large img data files also... Give it a try if u haven't wiped...:evil3:

Because, if you read various threads, it's pretty much a hit or miss proposition. Some have gotten it right away, some took quite a while to achieve and, still others have not gotten blessed by Sprint server gods.

Is there a major difference in speed or performance between odex and deodexed. I have tried the reading about these 2 different rom, but I have not found clear guidance on what the different is. I see that deodexed rom allows themes to be added and that odex is suppose to be faster. I have not see anything that show the difference in speed.

Is there a noticeable different in speed with odex over deodexed roms.

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. tannerj
