I just upgraded to Sense 2.5 build 2012 | 21887 | v1.1. Is anyone else having an issues with ActiveSync? I can't get it to sync up at all...

*EDIT*

Nevermind, I deleted the exchange and did a softreset, then recreated it and that seemed to solve my problem.

go to manila settings, other, usb2pc, uncheck enable faster data sync under ActiveSync

Any chance on getting your ROM cooked with the windows default text messaging or something other than the htc messaging? Every time I load a ROM with it cooked in it makes me want to ](*,)

51.49mB free in storage, after three days of use on beta2 rom.

couple questions/comments here:
1. is there anyway to just use windows text messager when when it comes to sending text messages?
2. is it even possible to change the text msg recieved sound to a custom one? Ive put my mp3 i made in just about every folder i can think of and it only shows up as a ringtone for incoming call... this use to be really simple, click on mp3 and go to set ringtone.
3. does the sense 2.5 conversion break the diamonds wheel? It doesnt seem to work in anything anymore. It use to zoom in and out, in google maps and now it only zooms out.
4. I miss the volume rocker gui that was in the original diamond rom. this one is ugly and very slow to open.
5. of course album is still buggy, but it IS functional now!
6. just remembered i can send pic mail but cant receive it on this rom. Itll give me a notification like i recieved it but i cant open it, and when i got to view all messages its there but it says its from my own phone number and is empty.

all in all im very surprised how much stuff works good enough to use day to day.

Yeah, same here, I hope they port Messaging Classic over soon or fix this version of HTC Messaging. An ok work-around is to go to your email inbox then "slide" over to the Outlook SMS. However, it is not threaded for some reason. I might have to go back to 1921 because I text more than I talk... by a lot.

Other than that it is a very fast and clean ROM! Great job, OMJ!

#1, see above post.
#2 I think text message notifications have to be in a .wav format, but I may be incorrect.
#3, probably has to do with the updated Rhodium packages (2012), above my head, lol.
#4, place a shortcut to "SetVolume" in your startup folder or just open it everytime you soft-reset so it is loaded to memory. I don't know the exact location off the top of my head of the program, but it is located under Start>System Tools. However, I find the SetVolume even slower than the stock WM volume control though, plus it has to reside in memory.

I'm having a strange problem. Been using 21877 for about 3wks, suddenly the sound stopped working for alerts, alarms, and texts. It still works for the phone ringer. I've checked all the settings and it's all as it was. I've soft reset several times, tried changing the ring tones, etc. No joy.

Any ideas short of hard reset?

sorry I dont know much about max manila, but the changes from test 2 to v1.1 was CFC'd WVGA files, and updates from amarullz on the vga port...it could be the CFC'd files, but dunno for sure.

u can still use WM default sms, but u have to open POutlook 1st.

or u can download my kitchen & cook one without HTC messaging

sorry, but I have no idea why this would happen....may be time for hard reset or update

1. this htc messaging is better than previous, but still has issues. using the NoClientMessaging would probably solve this.
2. if u want to change the left soft key to send, change to this regedit:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"LSK_Send_Msg"=dword:1

3. change to this regedit:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\Messaging]
"HTCContactPicker"=dword:00000000

only issue i've had with new beta ROM is that my phone continued to ring even thou i had it as on vibrate or totally off.

other than that, still playing with the new toy!, er i mean tool

-updated CFC'd WVGA manila files

-corrected the contact picker issue

-GROUP EDITOR NOW WORKS!!!

does anyone have the cab to install the diamond keyboard(20 buttons)? I used it as my primary keyboard for so long, i miss it now.

which one? the one i'm keeping my eye on is from kimi, which hides the top curtain on the Home tab, moves everything up, and adds call history....its not done yet.

could someone post a usable youtube cab for these roms?, i have searched and tried about 3 or 4 different versions. i get no videos found, no volume or resolution so small u cant see the fonts...

the original image is called Flamerise.jpg located in \windows. the easiest way to change to it, is copy that jpg to where your pix are stored in Internal storage, then go the Sense Settings tab, personalize, lock screen wallpaper. it will open Album, choose the flamerise jpg.

Hey dumb ass, it works now!

Anyway the youtube cab i had is working now. got lucky i guess.

New roms is nice. wich we could get more quick links on the home page.. 2 reasons... Icons look better small and well i like to have more programs there ...

Nice work on the latest rom OMJ.

Noticed a slight issue when adding a number to an existing contact: the alphabet list on the right side is cut off after the letter s. It's also hard to scroll down to the lower most contacts.


Do you think the data arrows will function correctly (dim when not in use) if amarulz successfully adapts the manila dialer (the one he said would be hardware accelerated)?

Thanks OMJ for that! But the flamerise wasn't what I was looking for, it was the start menu background before, like colored bubble thingies.

Yeah, this is one thing I miss a lot for finger zooming when reading web pages. I thought it was completely dead now in all programs with this ROM -- didn't know zoom out in Google Maps still works.

Is there a fix or work-around to restore the wheel function?

still having the ring issue where i have the ringer off, but calls are still ringing thru. anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

fyi... someone earlier mentioned that they missed bubble breaker. I found a working install for it. It's a 2 cab install that includes bubble breaker and Solitaire. Install cab1, then cab2. It creates a second link in the start menu for solitaire but it didn't create one for bubble breaker (at least it didn't for me) so you'll have to copy the bubble breaker exe from the windows directory and paste it as a shortcut in the start menu.

btw... I just got a diamond (coming from TP). I'm starting out w 28014/Sense 2.1... and I gotta say I love the ROM. Really nice so far.

Just upgraded from old 1.5 onto 28014/2012 1.2. I am loving the new approach, so much free memory, nice and clean install.

I highly recommend that anyone who doesn't use Sashimi yet to switch onto it if they plan on flashing much though. If I had to reinstall everything every single time I think I'd go crazy. It's great being able to just install things to Internal Storage and then have Sashimi copy the start menu shortcuts back on flash.

Anyone have a recommendation for an Opera cab?

As many of the following (not necessarily of equal priority) as possible would be the best case scenario:
-fast
-supports scroll wheel
-supports screen rotation
-does not lag text
-supports integration with Sense so that clicking Launch Browser opens it
-supports integration with Sense on the Internet tab so that live bookmarks work

Alternatively, does Skyfire do well on these measures?

which screen are u seeing this?

possibly, but I wouldn't count on it. amarullz uses gsm

ok, I see it....I believe capt throwback said it had this problem, but it's the only contact picket version that works.

so this is where I say, sometimes u have live w/ minor issues, to use programs/software that were not designed for our devices...

yep, i am running the 2.5 28014 beta rom and may go back to an older omj just cause not sure what new features there are versus losing all those icons. is there a cab install i can use to get more quick links?

OMJ & All having an issue with 2012 and Max Manila 3.0 - got it working, just check Max Manila's thread and scroll to post 9 at the bottom their is a fix for CFC compressed ROMS.

No, haven't found the image, in the previous ROMS prior to the current betas, there was a nice mildly colorful bubbly background when you hit the start menu, and it wasn't the flamerise one.
