OMJ! I gotta say you have yourself a hit here my friend. I love it! Thank you for your Hardwork. The only thing I see missing that I am used to seeing is Bubble Breaker. If anyone could post the Diamond version of that, That would be awesome!
This ROM is a hit out of the park bud, nice work! |

I'm having an issue with storage. After about a week of using my phone from the new flash, the free storage went down to like 0.5, and then my phone would keep giving me warnings that the memory is low. This is not the internal storage. I did not install any additional applications, and if i did, it would be on the INTERNAL storage. I tried to clear ram via cleanRAM... Didnt help. Any ideas out there?

Wonder if anyone can help with this:
I use a google voice number, when someone calls me I have the caller id set with google to show my google number, this way all my incoming calls via google are free I then have my contacts setup as "googlenumber<pause>2number to call#, I also have a contact labled "google voice" so I can get to my google voicemail and manually dial someone everything works great as far as calling out and receiving calls, but anytime someone calls my gv number, it displays one of my contacts (which has the google number and the contact's number) and not the google voice contact (which has just the google number).. I've even changed the name of the google contact entry and put an "a" so it's the 1st item in the contacts list and it still pulls up the same person when my phone rings I had it working right a few months ago and then it stopped I just installed the latest omj rom (the 2/12/10) and before I restored my contacts, I called myself and created a new contact, then restored my contacts (and selected not to restore dup's) anyone have any suggestions? it's not that big of a deal, it would just be nice to have it show "google voice" instead of "other contact" when the phone rings thanks for any advice <update> I figured out a fix, I added a "P" to the google voice contact entry and now when it rings it shows that contact, don't know why the caller id would look at a contact with more info in the string then just the number, but it is working now |

There are also a few apps out there that basically replace the dialer and go through GV. I had bookmarked them but lost them, sorry. I remember that one of the better ones was over a xda if you wanna try looking for it. So your carrier gives you a few numbers to pick that calls are free to and from? |

I am on alltel prepaid, I get data for .10/min, and I get 1 fav number which I have set to my gv number, I never gave out my "cell" number when I set this up, only my gv number, so all calls in are free (I have my gv number caller id set to show my gv number and when I answer it says "you have a call from whoever, hit 1 to answer or 2 to send to voicemail") and when I call out I dial my gv number, hit 2 and dial the persons number and all calls out are free I pay $1/day (one day I will change to the .75/day), I get free nights/weekends, free txt, 1 fav number I plan on switching to a regular alltel account soon, get the $39 plan which gives me 500 minutes and 5 fav numbers and from what one of the support guys said, since I am using my own diamond I don't have to pay for the $40?? data plan, I can get the $5 data plan, the sales people will say I would get limited data but the support guy said I would get full data |

Hey OMJ, I've been pretty quiet last few updates, first, rom still is nice, don't see how you keep getting better and better....
but... I hadn't noticed, but I could of missed, has anyone said anything about the txt messages, man tab always shows the first 2 txt's I received (when installing the latest update 2/12), so if a new text comes in, it bumps #3 down and puts the new one in the #3 slot, #1 and #2 are always the same |

htc messaging is annoying in its current state. first, when you have more than 1 message in history with a person and you try to reply then the keyboard cuts off half your first line from view.
second, the send button is also obscurred by the keyboard (obviously the design works better on wvga) so before you cab press send you must minimize the keyboard. third, when making a new message by pressing the search button,no results come up. same thing happens in the dialer when you try to add to an existing contact. |

Loving the ROM, OMJ! I just have a glitch to report.
When I get texts the keyboard will randomly pop up, no matter where I am. I could be calling someone, and it'll show up when I get a text while I'm on a call. I am using the default HTC keyboard, not the FingerKeyboard. Keep up the good work, OMJ! Thanks! |

Running Sense 2.5 28014. Love the build. I dont really know what to expect in the way of battery life, since im new to diamond in general. I make maybe one call a day, have my weather update every 3 hours and barely make it a day on this phone. I have a refurb unit, so im not sure it came with a good battery to begin with?
I understand there is a .cab to explore battery drain to see what the usage is? I also found some tips. Can anyone recommend doing any of the following? I cant seem to get the auto backlight setting to work. (its selected but doesnt seem to change when I cover the sensor.) disconnect network when idle for 1 min timeout Registry path: HKLM\Comm\CommMgr\Planner\Settings\ Set "CacheTime" to 60 Set "SuspendResume" to 58 00 00 00 33 00 99 00 88 00 39 00 58 00 39 00 29 Default is #777 and should not contain anything about GRPS setting SuspendResume" to "58 00 00 00 33 00 99 00 88 00 39 00 58 00 39 00 29" makes it so you can make calls while you have a data connection. YOU CANNOT have both on at same time before you COULD NOT answer any calls while you had data present. now it disconnects the data and makes it so you can answer calls Thanks to Razorloves In order to optimize battery usage, you can stop running applications that are not in use. Specifically, the following are ways you can save battery while using your device: 1. Stop running the GPS software if not in use. (Tap Start > Settings > System tab >Task Manager.) 2. Disconnect your data connection if not in use. (Tap Start > Programs > Comm Manager.) 3. Turn off your Bluetooth connection if not in use. (Tap Start > Programs > Comm Manager.) 4. Turn off your Wi-Fi connection if not in use. (Tap Start > Programs > Comm Manager.) 5. Change Power Save Mode from Best Performance to Best Battery in the Wireless LAN setting. (Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Wireless LAN > Power Mode tab.) 6. Please check the sync schedule for receiving and downloading incoming mails. For after work hours, it is recommended that you increase the time interval for receiving e-mails to save battery. (Tap Start> Programs > ActiveSync > Menu > Schedule to adjust the sync status in Peak time and Off-peak time.) 7. Set your device to auto adjust the backlight so that the light sensor will automatically adjust the brightness of the screen. (Tap Start > Settings > Backlight tab and then select Auto adjust backlight.) 8. In standby mode, WCDMA uses lesser power than GSM mode. On the other hand, in talk mode, GSM uses lesser power than WCDMA. You can tap Start > Settings > Phone > Band tab, and then set your network type to Auto. 9. Stop running the applications that are not in use. (Tap Start > Settings > System tab > Task Manager.) Has anyone tried this reg tweak or settings above and seen a difference? |

Ah it's as easy as dumping them into the windows dir. Thanks!
Just spent a few mins with the latest 28014 rom and I can confirm the same issues I noticed before are present. first, when you have more than 1 message in history with a person and you try to reply then the keyboard cuts off half your first line from view. (to fix this, the older message should automatically be scrolled upwards) second, the send button is also obscurred by the keyboard (obviously the design works better on wvga) so before you cab press send you must minimize the keyboard. ( I don't know how this can be fixed.) third, when making a new message by pressing the search button (the button with the head on it), no results come up. fourth, same thing happens in the dialer when you try to add to an existing contact, making it impossible to "add to existing contact". Maybe I should just post these in the porting thread...? |

OMJ or anyone else, testing 2012 v1.1 seems to have broken max manila 2.7 and 3.0
I did a straight ROM upgrade to 1.1 and also tried stock to v1.1 but got the same effect. 2.7 works better, but no matter what I do with the settings I cannot get the tab bar to show. 3.0 is worse half of the information does not show, calendar tab looks like giberish. Did something change between 2012 test 2 and v1.1? |
