LIke OMJ said, Sense 2.5 is not meant for the Diamond, so you're going to have to move things and manage your available storage much more. Here, I load around hundred extra programs and games, push everything possible to Internal Storage, use ClearTemp, SKtools, and MemMaid to manage the system resources, and am able keep 10MB's to 14MB's of Main Storage free with OMJ's Sense 2.5 ROMs.

I didn't install Bing to Internal Storage. I'll make that change. rhacy, what version of ClearTemp are you using? The version I installed isn't allowing me to edit the 2 custom folders (or I am not doing it right). Would you be able to post the cab you are using?

OMJ, I think a cab install for Google Maps would be great since it is so large. Will a cab install keep all the temp files on Internal Storage if we install there?

I wish we could move the storage location for some of the storage memory hogs to Internal Storage (eg, HTC Album, email cache, pic messages, google maps, bing, etc.)

Has anyone been able to use Google Tasks on this ROM? This is my first time trying the app on any ROM.

There's an app to sync Google Tasks? What is it? I couldn't turn anything up with a Google search.

If you're referring to ActiveSync, that just doesn't work on Windows Mobile, it's an unimplemented feature on Google's end.

So basically I've been screwing around with your kitchen and have made some progress. It is my first experience with any sort of kitchen and I'm having fun but it's pretty time consuming...

I have one last request for your Manila 2.5 roms....MANILA TV...

As I'm sure you've seen PMD cooked Manila TV into your Manila 2.5 kitchen and it works perfectly. However his rom is like using an older version of your rom with lots of bugs. The TV however like I said works perfectly. Please add this one last little shining star to your 2.5 rom and make these phones last us until the year 3000.

I'm trying to make the rom lighter, but I can see about adding it to the kitchen.

just tried new opera,it installs but dont work.. tried to internal and external. it simply wont start up.. oh well... we will see could be a bum rom that im on

I used Restorator. It has a free trial and hasn't been updated in awhile. It doesn't work with Win7, but I ran it in WindowsXP mode on win7 with no problems. There are other programs out there, but I like this one because you can just drag and drop the icons. It's muck quicker that way.

I tried the B3 (opera) but Flash didn't work for me... I went to YouTube and videos open in streaming media, not the browser... Any flash website I can test it at? Flash.com gives this message:

amikam has turned me on to LZX compression that will save a ton of space. I havent tried it yet, but probably will this weekend, then I'll upload to see what ya'll think.

im uploading a rom with sys 23529... u might not be done flashing yet...
it's actually really fast... i hate the size... thats the only thing that keeps me away from it...
but seriously, all of u guys who use 6.5.x.... after examining 6.5.x sys's u really have no reason to even care about manila 2.5.2011-2012. 1921 is crazy fast on those sys's from what i see so far.

I actually flashed his version with LZX and have been using it a day or two and have not noticed any difference in performance whatsoever.

this is the good kind of torture...

OMJ, I played with the test version for a little bit and things seem to be good. The one thing i notice was that in the settings tab under "other" USB to PC is listed twice.

Aight, time to cook up a 2.1 rom with 23529.. thank you guys for all the help. I appreciate it!! :headbang:

he's right omj... u would need to take the usb2pc out of your oem folder... otherwise u would get 2 version of usb2pc on the device.
