I tried searching but I couldn't find an answer. Is the twitter tab disabled, I'm using the 6.5.5 most recent build. Was this because it was quite buggy? I've been using it on other roms, and its come along well.

Sorry if the answer is staring me in the face.

Thanks

Its still there, just disabled by default..

Settings ---> Personalize ---> Home Screen tabs ---> at the bottom check the twitter tab to turn it on. (same goes for stocks)

There is no home screen tabs icon in personalize, odd. I cant find that icon anywhere.

Where are you looking? Under windows settings or manila settings. This is under Manila settings (i.e the last slider icon on the right in manila)

Another minor odd bug (6.5.5 2.5 3/9). In the email inbox, the wheel control only works for left, right, and down. so if the selected message isnt the top one, cant select the one above it..... (just bringing it up because I already deleted the wrong email once). The up button works for other things like browsing pictures, etc.... so definitely a weird minor bug.

EDIT: it sometimes works.... seems like it happens more when you have an email open in the full view, then go to menu, inbox....

I like the customization of the cookie monster app... just wish it would go even further, like, being able to remove the calendar from home entirely, and putting one row of quick launch there.

Otherwise, this is great. best version yet.

What dialer is being used with the latest 23544 roms? Do we have to worry about the ## code vs 911 issue?

For anybody trying to use SprintTV, just d/l and install cab from this page
Still wondering why RSSHub isn't bundled in these builds, but I just installed NewsBreak

Would be nice to reduce the size of selection boxes in the menu (like the boxes in regional settings)...they're a bit too tall for my taste.

I finally got around to giving this a go, and I'm wondering if anybody has a Swype cab they can post. That's one thing I immediately miss, after having gotten used to that keyboard on my previous ROM.

You can have cookie's app auto-hide the calendar when you have no appointment with 1.6.1. If you don't have that version, you can get it here. Also, Cookie'sHomeTabEditor is very useful for changing the registry settings.

I was playing around with another rom, and of course came back to OMJ's, but I'm in a roaming only area and with data on all the time had crappy battery life, 2-4 hours max, since I don't need data all the time was looking for something that would auto turn off the data

it's been a long 2 weeks at a new job and not sure if someone here posted this or someone on one of the other roms, but this is a nice utility, has given me 8 hours give or take

I have my email check every 5 or 10 minutes (don't remember) and then have this set to disconnect the data after 15 seconds of idle and it works great, just takes a second to connect if I want to pull up a web page, but worth it to get the extra hours of battery

I just tried out mwalt's (the poster 2 posts above me) HDWall and I love the effect if gives my Diamond. I had used a similar transparency modification on my old Touch and also loved the effect. I find it makes the screen look and feel larger, and more aesthetically appealing.

Good job mwalt, and I hope you continue with it's development, maybe landscape support in the future ect.

Here's an example, notice the top & bottem bars are now transparent, making the screen seem larger:

Anyone know where I can get a copy of this background image:

Or just tell me where to find that background image file (windows dir?), as I could rip it from my old touch.

I'm pretty sure that's the background from the HTC Hero [default].
Here is one you could "cut up" pretty easily.
Do a Google search for "HTC Hero background default" and you'll find a few others as well. Leave out "default" and you'll get a bunch more. They should work nicely with the Diamond's panoramic backgrounds as well.

I'm still using the LEO dialer, and according to mwalt, yes, since it's a GSM dialer, it will only do one or the other....phone codes or 911:

for 911, use this reg

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DialParser]
"DLL-OEM"="ddcall.dll"

for phone codes, use this reg

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DialParser]
"DLL-OEM"="PhoneCanvas.dll"

In case anyone was wondering, I just checked and the default setting in the ROM is for phonecodes, so it seems that 911 is broken by default. I switched it over to enable 911. I'm glad I found out about this now, instead of whenever I might need it.

Anyone know what the latest/greatest CDMA dialer is? I don't really care so much about the facebook integration in the LEO dialer, I'd rather have working data arrows, working 911 and phone codes. Maybe I'll try my hand at cooking a custom rom with OMJ's kitchen.

The rhodium dialer from calkulins kitchen is the 'newest' vga ported cdma dialer I know of. It's Rhodium PhoneCanvas 3.40.35284.0 and may already be in OMJ's kitchen.

the LEO dialer is GSM, and wont do both phone codes & 911

the unlock code is your MSL...there are guides out there on how to obtain or you can call Sprint, tell them u need to hard reset & need the unlock code

Like OMJ explained..the unlock code is your MSL code...and one way is to call Sprint and tell them you need to reprogram your phone and need the MSL number or that you're doing a software upgrade and want the code just in case something goes wrong or whatever other reason you can think of.

If you don't want to do that, here's another option. I've personally used this method before and I know it works. There maybe other options to get the MSL code but these two are the one's I've used in the past.

I hope this helps!

Re: OMJ's HTC Sense 2.5 & 2.1 ROMs | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21887 / 2354x | 3/9/

I used the reg edit to enable 911 and as expected, the phone codes (e.g. ##778#) no longer work from the dialer. But that's no problem because all the phone codes may still be accessed through the shortcuts in the Phone Codes folder even after the reg edit.

Since the phone codes can be accessed through shortcuts, and in the default configuration 911 does not work (with no other work around), I propose that 911 be enabled by default and that phone codes be disabled.

I would hate for some non-technical person using this ROM to need to call 911 only to have their phone lock up on them. It is the safer way.

What do you guys think?

LZX ROM uses compression, which allows more free space, but runs a little slower.

Oh yes, and I may have found a bug in "Sense 2.5 2012 6.5.5 23544 v1.1 NO LZX"

Someone please attempt to reproduce and confirm:

Open the camera, then select "picture Theme" mode. I get this error:

"Unable to switch to the picture theme capture mode. Unable to load the default template"

I haven't been checking this feature on every release, so I don't know when it stopped working.

I've just always programmed the #9 speed dial to dial 911. Was it already supposed to do that automatically anyway? The 2 times I used it (traffic hazard realated), I got a red text display across the top that says it was in Emergency mode. After that, the phone behaved oddly for a while. Any clues?

Yeah, 911 works if you set it to a speed dial with a GSM phone canvas and the ## code registry setting. You just can't actually dial 911 without it set to ddcall from what I understand (not that I've tested it :)).

Yeah, I came from a 28014 rom of yours and I found that the Cookie Home Tab seems to make it it about a second slower when switching back to the Home Tab.

Are you thinking of upping this new 23541 without LZX?

Good job mwalt, and I hope you continue with it's development, maybe landscape support in the future ect.

Here's an example, notice the top & bottem bars are now transparent, making the screen seem larger:

Or just tell me where to find that background image file (windows dir?), as I could rip it from my old touch.

Glad you like it. I honestly thought there would be more interest in it. I've made 10 more cabs for 6.5 and 6.5.x and attached them to XDA. Click here.

That's a good idea, bobram. Plus, like you mentioned, the ## codes still work via OMJ's Phone Codes Folder Shortcuts with the 911 "DLL-OEM"="ddcall.dll" regedit enabled.

I reproduced and confirmed the theme capture mode default template error here as well.

Nevertheless, many many thanks OMJ for the great ROM work. Cheers! And... if it helps at all, lol..., I tested your last three 2.5 2012 6.5.5 builds, including fully loading them with a bum-load of third party apps as well as personal tweaks, and all three have worked well. Moreover, it's been tough to notice much difference in speed here between the old AKU 23541 with LZX and the Cookie Monster Mod added in, verses NK6.5 23544 combined with the cooked in Cookie Monster Mod, with or without LZX. The Cookie Monster Mod definitely slows down Sense 2.5 here on all three builds, compared to the old AKU 23541 without it.

In regard to the Cookie Monster Mod, I thought I'd mention that it has allowed me to add a row of four shortcut icons just above the slider icons on the home page. I just needed to use CHTEditor and select Auto Hide Call History, as well as disable VGA mode, and save the changes. The row of visible icons can be swiped left or right to show more icons, as long as you have Cookie Monster set to three pages. You can also swipe down and make the icons disappear. Please note that using Cookie Monster in WVGA mode is kind of funky though, due to the icons being so close to the slider icons. Plus the visible row of icons is hard to access when you actually slide up to view your normal CM 4x4 page of icons. Nonetheless, it's working here...

Thanks again OMJ!

Best to all,
R

OMJ: what exactly is the issue between 911 and phone codes? BTW, I just don't see how your ROM can get better!

just run it, down at the bottom you check the box that says "close idle conn" and select the number of seconds
