Contact Picker is not working correctly, same issue I had on the 1922 pkg, arrow down to select a contact or start typing persons name @ top box. There is no manila locker, no BG4ALL, very little manila mods. This 2011 port is coming along very nicely, it wont be long before it is 100% complete. Thx to amikam for the vga addons!

This is a beta ROM!!!

Re: OMJ's HTC Sense 2.5 & 2.1 ROMs | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21887 / 28014 | 1/29

Hey OMJ, I brought up the idea in this thread in the past, but that time the discussion didn't really go anywhere, but would it work for a ROM to move all the programs that don't need to be in RAM onto the Internal Storage space, and then bundle a separate zip to be unzipped into Internal Storage when installing the ROM? Then would it be the case that we could have, say, 100MB+ free of Storage RAM post-install or something like that?

The reason I bring it up again is that there's a new ROM out that seems to be using my strategy, and is putting Opera, Facebook, and Google Maps into Internal Storage by default:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=96653

Just an idea, but would be super cool if it worked.

Would be even cooler if we could then tweak the RAM settings to decrease Storage RAM and increase Program RAM to make things run better with more caching or something like that, but from what I understand that definitely wouldn't be possible right?

OMJ - Regarding Sense 2.5 2011 | WM 6.5.3 28014 | BETA

Yes, it's much snappier. In my less than 24 hours with the ROM:

(1) I had just gotten used to having 9 tabs available to me on quick launch. This ROM only has 6.

(2) The HTC Messaging client is nice, but the spacing is still a little off. Many times I haven't been able to see what I'm typing as it's below the keyboard.
(part of my frustration with the client also comes from the location of the send button as well - I had gotten so used to hitting the lower left button, which is now "back" that I type a message and hit back when I mean to hit send - this is a user error though, not a programming error)

(3) For some reason I haven't been able to install all of my regular programs - a first for me. Looking at the system settings:

Storage
Total: 49.80
In Use: 47.20
Free: 2.61

Program
Total: 196.26
In use: 119.14
Free: 77.12

But when I get to the market place to install my apps, I get an error that I don't have enough space. Does that seem right?

Otherwise it's been great - sans your snow screen saver....

That's why Program is your RAM, so you can't install anything to it.

Storage::Hard Disk (where you install, you also have internal storage to install in)

Program::Memory (where you run)

Still on 1.5, just noticed the Data Connection slider under Wireless Controls doesn't seem to work. Clicking it to on appears to work, but then next time you go into the menu it's off again. Data is always on though I think?

Yeah, that's what I thought, so increasing Program Memory is definitely impossible, but how about freeing up as much Storage Memory as possible to avoid the problems affecting poor vamsmack up there?
