Oliver's Pegasus V2 6.5 Basic: Call Recording, SIP, Power Usage

Hello to all,

A few things to report on the Basic 6.5 ROM:
  • Power is fair, but I have seen better. It died with mostly texting, one game ~15 minutes and a
  • It comes with the original SIP, defaults to the QWERTY regardless if you choose another
  • Sometimes the SIP doesn't register what word you touch - it has only happened about 5 times
  • In call recording is not in the program list, but shows up as an option on a call, but does not work.
I spent a few instances of disconnecting from the Internet although I do not have any email set-up, nor weather automatically updating, nor push pages, or even stocks. That was the culprit for some of the power loss.

I hope to see in-call recording, the updated SIP and improved power management, otherwise looks great.

That is all for now.

concerning opera mini 4.2 being offset, off the screen...

I seen it too. One work around is to rotate the screen (e.g. Send Hold -> rotate) to get the menus back on screen.

For now, I'm using opera mini 5 beta, although sometimes I swear 4.2 was faster. It seems to be stable and the UI seems to be unaffected by 6.5.1.

Basic has nothing, because it is what it is, Basic which allows you to just load up whatever you want to from CABs. As for Premium, it's fully loaded with everything in it, and yes it is 6.5.1.

Oliver,

I did notice that in the 6.5.1, the icon for "lock" on the start menu is missing. It dowsn't show, but if you touch the position it responds as "lock". Just thought you should know.

I haven't noticed much bugs yet...i'm on basic by the way...but I'd let you know if/when I find one.

Do you have any idea why my text messages are sorted out-of-order? When I retrieve from myphone it list all received first, then all received, and this is in threaded view

UPDATE: I changed to a shodowline theme, and I now have the lock icon. I have no clue what happened.

Re: ALL CDMA [10-30-09] Oliver's Pegasus V2 Series 6.1/6.5/6.5.1 (21055/21869/23071)

I've literally tried every rom for wm 6.1 on this site and I appreciate the lightness of this one - not bloated and very stable for me.
However, (always a "however") the wallpaper won't change. Clicking "Wallpaper" in the settings tab in touchflo takes me to Camera Shots and no further. Tapping a picture - nothing. Tapping the Albums option at the bottom - nothing. It doesn't freeze, tapping the back button takes me back with no changes. Note that normally, touchflo will ask if you want to revert to the default wallpaper when first clicking the wallpaper option in the settings tab - this doesn't. I have flashed from Sprint stock twice with the same results. Ideas?

Unhappy Oliver's Pegasus V2 Series 6.5: Windows Lock, Won't Unlock, No error message, PIN

Somewhat of a notice:

While there is no information behind what I just experienced, do not lock your phone using the standard Windows lock. I got tired of my office mate using my phone since he gets worse coverage than me so I moved it from every 8 hours (which I never give it a chance to lock) to every 5 minutes. About 8 minutes later I went to unlock it and it would not unlock. The odd thing is that it doesn't do anything, no message saying wrong PIN, nothing. It just sits there and after a few moments the 'hidden' input of the pin will disappear. Yes, I tried turning it off and back on, removing the battery,...nothing. The lock used to work on a boot, but that was only once when I first flashed the phone.

Re-flashing now, a bit disappointed. Not too worried about the calls considering I could still answer the phone, but 124 text I won't be able to get to is frustrating. YMMV

Smile Re: ALL CDMA [10-30-09] Oliver's Pegasus V2 Series 6.1/6.5/6.5.1 (21055/21869/23071)

Just flashed Pegasus Basic M3D 6.5 v2 (21869) last night...seems to be much improved from the last version.

All of the issue with using TouchFlo to do things seem to be fixed.

Something seems different about Opera, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I've noticed an issue with Opera sharing its bookmarks with Touchflo...something new, or just me?

Memory usage seems to be way down though....which makes makes me happy (although this could be related to the fact that I think I've abandoned the fingerkeyboard).

Thanks again!

Bob

Unsure, since I have not had that problem with locking the phone.
