Re: [ ROM | WM6.1 | Rhodium2.1 ] TruXt v5 (09_01_2009)

First of all, a big THANK YOU! I've been looking for stability and support over bells and whistles and this fits the bill perfectly.

I tried the background on all tabs program listed in Post #27, but it did not work. It put a black curtain over my Today screen and killed my tabs. Can someone point me to a correct one that works? Or, PartyLatino420, would you mind posting the link where you found the compatible working pano? I'd be happy with either.

EDIT: This is it for the pano: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547941 Just make sure the "default" wallpaper is selected or you will get weird hybrid of pano and a different home screen.

Also, I understand Diamond Tweak doesn't work with Rhodium, does someone know what I can use if I want to change the left and right soft keys?

I swear I'm not too lazy to search, but I'm confused about whether I should be using Diamond or Rhodium based stuff when running Rhodium on a Diamond. Plus, it might help other folks with this ROM find what they need if it's posted.

Thanks!

I definitely like Fingerboard over EzInput. Mainly for the fast secondary buttons and vibe on press. And the fact that it always seems to work. Ezinput seems hit or miss depending on the rom. (as far as vibe on click and "settings" in general)

You can use Advanced Configuration Tool (cab below). In order to change the soft keys, open the program, on the bottom menu select "more settings", and from there "key mapping".

Cool, thanks. I've used Advanced Config, but I had no clue that there was a whole second menu outside the main one.

You're welcome ... you can also use it to re-arrange your comm manager if you like.

Another thanks to you, even though I haven't flashed this one yet.
And, the Diamond/Rhoduim Question is on my mind as well. From reading, I'm pretty sure I can flash this to my diamond. Thereafter will there be compatibility issues with things like my radio or hard buttons etc?

Thanks for cooking this up. It has the best reviews I have seen yet.

Everything will work just fine on your Diamond when you flash this ROM. This ROM was made for a Diamond, but includes technology borrowed from newer phones. This ROM has clearly been thoroughly tested for speed and stability. It won't have any impact on your radio. The compatibility issues only come up once folks like me start wanting to mess with the appearance (icons, wallpaper, etc) - there's alot of stuff out there that people developed for older ROM versions, and I'm not sure what is compatible with this version and what isn't.

OK cool. Thanks for the info.
I wish you could see my screen right now! With all of the mods and stuff I've been doing... I think the manila (which I dont understand yet) is where the compatability comes into light eh?
I was getting ready to try my hand at some HEX editing to change some colors yesterday.

I ate a burrito instead.

Re: [ ROM | WM6.1 | Rhodium2.1 ] TruXt v5 (09_01_2009)

..Some cabs you might want:

Now, these are working for MightyROM4 WM 6.1 so you can decide if the manila part will work for you.

Another note. I was going for the simplistic look, that's why I gathered these cabs. I changed my clock like five times in one hour and settled on one from pamas. I also did some back and forth with the nocurtains cab and the transparent bottom bar cab.
First I had a transparent top bar cab AND a transparent bottom bar, then I switched to no curtains, but something messed up. 8/
So I have nocurtains AND transparent botttom bar AND transparent slider installed and working for me.

...and I have a couple of clocks that remain in my 'remove programs' list, but wont come out after changing em so many times

good luck
btw i read that if you want an analogue clock you have to have a different cab for backround on all tabs I'm looking for it....

Yeah, it's the manila. I'm a technomoron, so even after a year of flashing custom ROMs, I don't totally get it either. I just know things can go horribly wrong if there's a compatibility issue - like when my phone developed a time machine function and the clock started madly flipping backward in time.
