Can anyone tell me how the phone portion is working for this rom? The main reason that I asked is because I tried several of previous Energy Rom, two thing have always prompt me to change it back to 6.1 Mighty Rom. One is phone is simply don't work, I can never pick up a call and have ALWAYS (100%) have to call someone back. Second is the battery, which can be tweeked. I'm trying to determine if I should give it another go as my wife is looking for a new look.

My touch pro2 is staying on the new 6.5 sprint rom for the same issues from energy rom.

When you say "I can never pick up a call" do you mean that it does not ring or that you cannot press on the green "answer" on the screen to pick up the incoming call?

I mean when I press on the "answer" key, it'll try to pick up the call but always have a delay enough that the call will go to the voicemail. This will happen even if I press it the second that it rings.

Well, you are doing better than me since I never hear the phone ring, but to answer the question, I can answer the "vibration" call if I slide the answer quickly enough, but the most reliable is to simply firmly press the answer button on the lower left corner of the phone.

I have also answered my own question about my phone not ringing. It seems that the *.wav files that I downloaded do ring but the pre-installed ringtones do not.

From the home screen find the "settings" icon and select it. The third option in the list after "Personalize" and "Wireless Controls" is "Sound & Display." Select "Sound & Display." Scroll down to the Volume settings and there is a level bar for Ringer and and a level bar for System. Set them as you like.

Of course I think the volume buttons on the upper left side of the handset are easier to locate. The top button raises the volume and the lower button lowers the volume, as well as permitting "silent" and "vibrate" modes.

Excuse me, I missed your comment that you were using the GTX variant. It may not have the same menu structure that the Sense2.5-Lite-Cookie version of the 21903 rom has. Well, the volume buttons on the side of the phones surely must work the same on both?

Did you use advanced config or one of those programs to auto-shutoff your data after x minutes? If so, that's what's causing the delay. That setting is for GSM phones only and changes a registry value which results in the inability to answer a call quickly. You can search the diamond forum for more. I know there's a huge thread about it somewhere with the specific registry key that needs changed.
