By turning off frequent refresh programs as KidFromBigD suggested you can get pretty good battery life. I have had my phone off the recharge cable since about 6:30am until now, which is about 5:00pm in my time zone, and I have used it several times for calls today. The battery is down about 25-27% I would say.

I had the ringtone problem with the April 13 release and converted ringtones to *.wav files to get that version to use the files. I have noticed that the installed ringtones in the May 10 release work correctly and I 've also noticed that the converted ringtones (now *.wav files) also work. Perhaps the latest release can use either form?

Just reporting in that the May 10 GTX 23569 Rom works absolutely fantastic!

Battery life is low at first when I'm retrieving my downloaded backups and info.

When all of that is done, usually I lower the brightness to the 3rd bar and disable some notification features (i.e. sound, vibrate). So far, battery life seems average.

Wanted a different look on my phone and a stable GTX rom as some GTX themed roms out there do have issues (i.e. second, third, and fourth rows of quicklink programs cannot be added).

I love this ROM! I think I have flashed 5 ROMs in the past week and this is by far my favorite.

Got a question though.

I thought I bricked it twice yesterday. I installed TouchPal and the 4x4 FavPPL then did a soft reset. I had to soft reset 3 times to get past the HTC Quietly Brilliant splash screen. Then again, last night after I installed the new Facebook app from MarketPlace, I reset the phone and I never could get it to get past the flash screen. I decided to let it charge overnight while it was off, then when I got up this morning, it fired right up.

Not sure why it would only get stuck at that screen every so often. Does this make sense to anyone and have you had the same issue?

Thanks.

Does anyone know how to add back the notification enhancements to the 21903.Sense2.5.LITE.Cookie.May.10 ROM?

Please help.

Thanks.

Not sure if you had read the original post made about the rom on the 1st page, but I believe it had stated that this was the 1st time that he had not intentionally killed the data connection on idle time.
Another quick way to kill the data connection is to hold the end key for 5 seconds, and it will bring up the quick-menu, than chose it from there.

To me, it looks like this is eating battery faster... but others may see it differently.

Yep, I had a similar experience today. I had just finished installing a few apps including TouchPal and GProfile and that was the end of that. keeps freezing at the boot screen and won't go any further. Hard reset the phone and we'll try again tomorrow possibly in a different sequence.

Okay, so several people must be using this for whom the phone rings on incoming calls. Mine does not apparently. Tried different ringtones, volumes and ring types. The only thing that works is vibrate. Other audible notifications such as message alert, missed call alert or dying battery alert do work. Testing ringtones gives the expected sound. But for incoming phone calls ... nothing!

That seems kind of essential for a phone you know.
