Whenever I try to load a YouTube video on this rom I receive the following error: "Error Cannot play this video." Anyone know what is going on with this? All other data connection related items seem to be working (weather/stocks/e-mail etc)

I have that issue as well. i keep a good copy on my internal memory and install the cab post flash.. seems to work for me on all roms when i do it this way. for what ever reason the included version here gives me the same issues as you have..

1. Sense2.5 works great as far as stability but you should not flash any of NRG's 2.5 ROMs without using HTCRie to remove some stuff. Our Diamond just doesn't have the space given all that NRG has packed into them (not really his fault since he cooks for devices that have tons more space than the Diamond). Search this thread for postings on what to remove. The process only take a few minutes once you know how to do it. There are several known problems with NRG's Sense2.5 ROMs:

a. Ringtones that are .wma or .mp3 don't work. Only .wav work. This is an easy fix. Just convert to .wav - I posted about this awhile back.

b. WiFi doesn't work. I can't get it to work no matter what I've tried.
c. YouTube doesn't work (I didn't put enough effort to see if there's a fix)
d. Some people report SMS problems when replying via the Manila screen. I saw this myself but when I reflashed, it didn't happen again.

2. If you don't want to do #1, download the 2.1 ROMs. They're pretty good and everything works well afaik. But I'm used to the 2.5 so I deal with the problems.

3. There's also the difference between 218xx and 235xx. I prefer the 218xx which has the normal Start icon at the top. 235xx is a little more touch-friendly and gets rid of the Start icon. It probably works better on WVGA.

Try the youtube cab thats attached to the OMJ ROM thread.. I beleive thats the one i use now. I just keep it on storage for each rom flash..

Thanks for the ROM. It looks great and installed seamlessly on my Sprint Diamond.
This is the first time I ever flashed a custom ROM and the experience is good.

The only problem is that phone don't ring for an incoming call. The phone stays silent even though ringer is ON. I will now try a wave file to verify if its a ringtopne format (mp3,wma) is a problem.

Any thoughts ?

Great, that provides a solution for that issue, do any of you have any problems with the phone just giving up on sound notifications for texts/calls after a certain period of time? I am not sure what is going on with this but I Have to restart the device then my general sounds will work again for x amount of time before it goes silent on me again....

Please forgive as I've been away from this thread for a few months and need to catch up.

Briefly reading I see there are some issues with space with the 2.5 vs. the 2.1 as well as some stability issues.

Can someone please give a brief description of the differences between the two versions with some pros/cons or point me to a specific post that already addresses this?

You actually won't have any space problem with NRG's 4/13/2010 release! That's because he's removed a bunch of stuff (and I think CFC-compressed). If you're ok with the issues I noted in this post, you should give 2.5 a try.

Sense2.5 is the latest and has a lot of visual improvements. Also, things like Co0kie's Home Tab only works with 2.5. A nice feature that 2.5 has is weather on the home screen but the devs have transferred that to 2.1 also. You should probably just search on YouTube to see a videos of 2.5.

Man, this ROM is fantastic. Is google maps not included? Any way to get that on this version?
