Why not vow instead to learn how to follow directions? If you do you'll find flashing back to stock from Energy or any of the other fine ROMs found here is hardly rocket sicence. And whatever it was you went through, there are far bigger hassles on this planet than that.

You can flash without establishing ActiveSync by getting into the Boot Loader. Power off, then power up while holding the volume down button. Connect the USB cable, and the phone will switch from "Serial" to "USB." Run RUU from the computer.

(it's a good idea to have a stock ROM image on the internal storage so that, if needed, the phone can be flashed to stock without a computer)

Using HTCRIE I went from <5MB free to ~50MB free (on 3/10 ROM) with Sense 2.5 (21895) by deleting the following files. I have done this on the 3/10 and 3/19 ROM revisions without issue. I then install the deleted programs that I need onto the Internal Storage.

Load the ROM image into HTCRIE. Click the OS line to expand it. Click the IMGFS line to expand it. On the right-hand pane, you can sort by filename and filetype. Highlight files to delete and hit DEL key. When sorted by filename, you can also quickly find files by just typing the name and it will automatically jump to the right places as you type characters. SAVE when done and then flash.

For Energy.VICTOR.21895.Sense2.5_LITE_with_Cookie_Home Tab.Mar.19, I then deleted the following
mp3trimmer* (but not mp3dmod.dll)
msn*
*.widgets - weather/money
games (teeter*, solitare*, bubblebreaker*)
google maps (gmm*, googlemap*)
shakeandsave*
onenote*
swype*.*
*.tsk (keep transpsoftkeys, 2007)
files for *.tsk (classicblue*, dvf*, isaac*, rock*, ron*, vera*)
diamondtweak*
advancedconfig*

NRG doesn't even have a Diamond and yet he takes the time and effort to put out these ROMs for us. I think it's really commendable and so glad he hasn't been pissed off by remarks like yours to ditch us!

Having said that, his ROMs are too big and you need to use HTCrie to take some stuff out. But that's really easy to do and there are already numerous postings within this thread on how to do it. If you can't take 5 minutes to learn how to do it, you probably shouldn't be whining

I went ahead and tried the latest 2.5. of course got the space issue, so I did a triggered boat load and restored to another ROM, actually ended up using the latest 2.1.

I can manage with this 2.1 version as it is still so much better than stuff out there. Thanks NRG for continuing making diamond roms even though you really have moved on to other devices.


(Im mainly just counting the days until the htc supersonic releases and I will switch to that anyways)
