Update all: da reese's 6.5 ROM is working very welll. I use Telus here in Canada. GPS, dead on, AGPS (Set to Orange) works perfect for both Google Maps. Live Search and Rout66. I wanted to really test it with Teathering.... well I am typing this comment while teathered to my Diamond. Actually, this is the first time ever it connected first time...

Recorded some video today..... no issues. Twitter, Facebook apps all spot on.


So I am not goinhg back to 6.1...

Keep us all posted for next major release da reese!!! you da bomb!!!!

Just as an update, I have the next revision ready... I'm just waiting on permission from 1 person on the boot screen I want to use. After that I'll upload.

As a brief changelog for those curious (nothing major)
- Repaired NetCF issues
- Removed Flash since it seems to cause Opera to close when a site with flash is opened
- Changed a couple skins (woopee)
- Removed In Call Recorder
- Including Tsowens custom taskbar icons (thanks to tsowen for letting me)

whats the difference between a ms build and the htc build? Is the Marketplace in here anywhere? If not will it be put in at a later build?

Thats a good question. Each will have their own tweaks from the company... Differences I will mention are (useless ones...) that the MS builds have the time bomb and web based programs point to internal MS servers, whereas HTC builds don't. Other than that I don't know...

what about the marketplace? I think i saw the icon for it on a picture of one of the other roms on this site. I havent seen it on this rom was just wondering if i overlooked it or if it is going to be put in later. I dont want to try another rom just for that, i like this one, it works perfectly on my phone i have had zero problems at all.

2) Okay...When I turn on my diamond and it comes to the Touch Diamond screen it has some letter in the right corner. It has:

P - DMXJFGHEO-IEKEM(something like that)
R - 1.03.03v ( I know that is the radio version)
D - 2.00 or 1.09 (This changes depending on the rom)


What is the "D" for? I have been flashing different ROM's and noticed that if "D" had 1.09 there, I get a lousy EV signal and internet is hard to get started.

Now if a ROM gives me the 2.00. my EV signal is full bars.

Do anyone know?

Marketplace isn't working yet so I have it removed. Once it is up and available I will put it in. I know it was working for a short time but MS took it back down.

All I can answer (sort of) out of this is that the D - 2.00 or 1.09 or 1.06 or 1.03 is dependent on the os.nb.payload. The latest rom I am waiting to upload is 2.00...

I am trying to find the post that talked about pointing to MS servers since I don't want to chance misleading anyone....

Hey Reese, you plannin on updating your Alltel specific ROM? Its really nice to load a carrier specific ROM and know mms and everything is gonna work perfect.
