Re: 5-17-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 2-7 [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21232]

I saw the menu settings in advanced config after I posted, but the power button setting is greyed out.

If I can take care of the ShutXP and the glight thing starting up and sticking at bootup, this ROM would rock, they are both redundant programs. How can I go into my startup and prevent both of these from starting upon boot??

I am not having any problem with anything "sticking" at startup. That being said you can disable G-Light in the G-Light options, or alternatively, just like on your desktop Windows PC, go into the start menu folder in the the Windows directory and delete stuff you don't want in there.

Did you do what I told you to do? (replace the windows\poweroffwarning.exe with the file attached to my previous post) - this will keep shutxp from being called when you long power the power button (shutxp does not run on startup)

As for glight you could go to start menu>glight> and uncheck enable
(you could also delete the entry in windows\startup\)

Why are you so concerned with removing these programs? Both are vast improvements over the stock ones

I didn't replace that file because you said "i think this is the file" so I'll go ahead and give that a shot.

I have Glight disabled, but everytime the phone powers on and titanium loads, the "glight runner" is stuck on the taskbar at the top. Hitting the menu clears it.

I've never had any problems with either the stock backlight app or the manual shutdown.
ShutXP takes a few seconds to even show up on the screen, where the stock is instantaneous.

OK, just remove the icons from the startup folder as we both suggested.

Let's go ahead and close discussion on this issue.

Okay, removed glight from startup and replaced the file in windows for the shutdown. All is good now except when you hold power, the popup with "yes" and "no" has no other text in it, but I can live with that. Thanks a lot guys!!

Sorry for the delay!

Here is my ThrottleLock skin. Again, if you use ThrottleLock, I recommend not using the callerID replacement function. Otherwise it is a killer app. He has a new version coming really soon too that has some really neat visual effects.

*edit* To use the theme, just drop the included folder in the ThrottleLock>skins directory and select it in the options.

No, I don't have it. I have been laying a bit low the last couple days. How is it working? If you up it, or link to it, I will check it out.
