Re: April 10th 2009 [Frugal F0.9 RC | Edge E0.1] alRom

Soaa-,

I was always a fan of Juicy's minimalistic approach and would just like to say that I am quite impressed with frugal's speed. I flashed your rom last night and so far have not encountered any bugs. I look forward to 1.0.

=D>

Since Juicy left I have been looking for a ROM that's a good fit for me. Just downloaded your Edge ROM and I must say, I think I found exactly what I'm looking for. Very nice work. I have yet to find something I dislike. Only been using it for a few hours and it seems pretty stable so far.

Looking forward to the next release already...

alRom Frugal F1.0

Build 21028
Manila Standard with CFC compression - FAST!
Only 35% used memory on first boot after UC. Thanks to Calku for the fix.

Known issues:
Can't zoom in using scroll wheel in Google Maps [looking into it]
Youtube doesn't work in Opera [might fix]

I really like the minimal characteristics of your rom. The only thing I encountered so far is when I use PIM backup, my text messages dont show up when I go to inbox, but it will show up as part of the touchflo interface. I did soft reset and installed your rom from stock and hard reset twice.

That's really odd. I'm not having any issue with PIM backup. Are you using Frugal or Edge?

Frugal uses Manila Standard, so there's no hour bug. Edge's Rhodium is optional, so you're sure to be covered if you don't turn it on. Even if you do, the world clock is removed, so you shouldn't have the issue.

Hope that answers your concerns. (:
