Re: HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7

The thing with internet sharing is I want to have the drop down choice to choose "Sprint" or "Phone As Modem" and I lose that with a soft reset... so I an only choose bluetooth or usb connections but now what they are connecting too.. It's not that internet sharing doesn't work... just the edit to open up the choices doesn't stick.

Otherwise, after the first hard reset and the fact that I couldn't "skip" customizations, this is running nicely. Definitely smoother and definitely better battery life. It's also running cooler so far.

xmove, sounds like the network issue I had. Try updating your profile.

This problem seems to go away after a hard reset so it may be something I install that's causing it. I still can't get Internet Sharing to work properly. My connection says 'Phone as Modem' instead of 'Sprint' no matter what I do. Not good since I tether. A lot.

Re: HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7

I flashed the new HTC ROM last night and lost my internal storage. The HTC fix for that wouldn't install. ROM is buggy as hell, was sick of it after an hour. I unlocked and flashed the latest Mighty ROM and now the phone is perfect and faster than ever! Battery life is about the same. Still have the newer radio that came with the HTC upgrade and seem to have better reception where I live in the woods of southeastern NY. Thanks to all the great people here that have made this phone so much fun for me!

I just edit the registery, by deleting the key "forcecellconnection" then do not reset.. now go directly to tether.. you're good until you reset.

Re: HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7

Would anyone know if it would cause any problems installing the official update and then doing a sprite backup from my current setup. I thought this only caused a problem if the version of Windows changed? Maybe I'm wrong on this...

Re: HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7

Flashed to this about 3 days ago and its driving me crazy with all the little bugs.

Pros:
- TF3D is a lot faster and smoother
- Not sure but the battery life does seem a little better.
- Running cooler

Cons:
- My ring settings revert by to "Ring Only" after every soft reset.
- My "Display message on screen" for reminders and text message keeps turning off on its own
- There was not "slide to answer" for me. I had to reinstall the S2A cab
- Phone freezes way more than it ever did on the previous rom.
- No more free RAM than the previous rom.

Questions:
- For those who said they have the new "slide to answer". Did you have to turn it on in settings or something? On my phone the green and red buttons still appear during incoming calls.

Re: HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7

Flashed mine this morning. Starts out with very low 32 to 35 with TF3D running.
I get better battery life and haven't noticed any flaws at all.
Slide to answer works great, just wished I had a black skin for it.
Everything seems to be smoother and faster. I'm extremely happy with it all.

Re: HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7

Does anyone know if this update includes the Picture Mail Enhancement found under the software updates through powerdeck.sprint.com or do you still need to install it on top of this rom update?
