[Final] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.23016 (Build 23016.5.3.0) - [Diamond ROM]

Started using 6.5 tonight.

Did not have to reset manually nor remove/reset battery when flashing. Was able to "Clear Storage" without any hiccups, and second time around still no errors.

Now I'm playing around with themes, and am looking into what I can do to further customize the look of my new GrooveROM 4.

Flash a stock ROM, clear the internal storage and then flash 6.5.

In other Roms I have used, When I use the Messages tab in Manila and press on the current message, it opens the thread of the SMS i clicked on. Does groooveROM do this? every time I press on the message, it does nothing.

Are there any major performance differences between 6.5 w/ no manilla build 2 to build 3? just curious because i am on 2 still.......

Build 3 was noticably quicker for me.

Well, my old Sprint Touch died a watery death. Though i will get it credit, it took a plunge about a month ago and lasted this long. Good phone but with the Sprint protection plan, i now get a new Diamond!! And of course the first thing i am looking to do is update it with a new ROM. I am still reading the many ROM posts, but could anyone let me know their thoughts on the merits of the 6.5 ROMS over the 6.1 ones? Is the 6.1 + HD manilla faster/more stable than the 6.5 one or vice versa? I am in no way afraid of going with 6.5 but i am more interested in stability and speed/smoothness of the ROM than it being new.

Thoughts?

Currently the 6.1 builds are faster by a bit than the 6.5 ROMs, unfortuately.

Just install an opera cab. I've linked to the one I use in the first post.
