I just flashed back to shipped radio, my screen says 4 bars, when I flash G5, it will say 2 but no difference in connection. Hope this helps.
thanks! Yeah, I always knew that those bars meant nothing because I get crystal clear calls with no bars, it was only weird because this occurred only after the last groove update, oh well. No complaints here! Awesome ROM as always!

sounds good, if you want I can post the cab that will give you the original signal bar back. Or if you so choose, Gadgetfreak has a great taskbar that works great with this rom.

Thanks Inda. Your first page should get a tweak back to the old dialer pics...

As for the weather pages, I always blow over whatever registry settings you have for the radar images with the following... It's always worked in my normal reflashes...

Thanks, I will update pics soon.

Some people are afraid of reg edits (losers).

LMAO. <reg edits? I ain't afraid of no stinkin' reg edits!>

Since we're on the subject... does anyone have a short tutorial on where to get these links for a particular area? And then how do they get applied?
I've found the radar images on various weather websites (including accuweather), but the links are for the entire page.
I never really use this feature, but I thought it would be a good thing to know how to do.

+1 on that. I have tried getting the image source from some different sites but it's hit or miss sometimes.

As for the CHome editor backup, I saw a discussion about this in Showaco's thread at XDA. It seems that you should back up some CPR files as well. I have a bunch that I put in my "Root" folder in Sashimi but you may only need to restore the "Titanium_480x640.cpr" and "Titanium_640x480.cpr" (as well as "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome").
By the way, it was also suggested to NOT use the Opera Plugin because it would overwrite your cpr files. The idea was to make your own Opera panel with Chome Editor and back that one up. Personally I just backup my opera6.adr file.

EDIT: Added registry location. See above.

I eat regedits for breakfast!

Now this is some good info here... I already backup and restore my opera6.adr file, so what's a few more if it works! I never import my favorites onto my homepage anyway...

As for the weather, I started with the ones in the registry originally, and modified from there until I got what I wanted. Played with the "zoom" and location too. I even put a non-standard weather image in there that I reference all the time (the NOAA Great Lakes temp chart) cause I'm on the lake more than a fish!

my understanding is you can use any weather "image" they are usually jpg's or gif's. go to a non animated weather image. yes the image is embedded in the website but if you right click on the image and show properties it will give you the url to that weather image. flip to your radar panel and bring up the full screen radar image. press the image to a menu pops up. you can edit the url's there. just add the url you found and wammo...you're done. i always copy and paste the url into a separate browser window to make sure it works first.

*edit* you can also edit some of the url's that are already setup.

for instance radar 6 can be changed from http://www.accuweather.com/m/US/wigs...R&geoWidth=800 to http://www.accuweather.com/m/US/wigs...R&geoWidth=100 just by replacing the city and state with the one your are interested in.
