[Final] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.23016 (Build 23016.5.3.0) - [Diamond ROM]

Thanks Inda for all the hardwork .

I flashed to grooveROM 5 - 21812 from SimpleROM 5 - 21232.
On the positive side the Home, Talk, End, Back buttons now work reasonably consitently.

However, while this ROM is stable the scrolling is not as smooth as the SimpleROM. Also this ROM occasionally stutters (does not respond for 5 - 15 secs.) One other issue - the bluetooth on notifications (in the home page) does not go away.

Prior to the flash, I flashed to Sprint shipping ROM. I also did a hard reset after installing grooveROM 5.

Any ideas. Does this ROM use some for of HTC touch scrolliing?

Aaaaah. Someone else sees the same thing. Glad it's not just something that I did.

Are you using the tachi dialer in your rom? It may be related to that.

Is there any way of removing the HTC volume control? If you try and raise or lower the volume while in a call with the side button, it does not work. It only moves the system and ringer volumes......

That's only on the wm dialer, right? Not the Tachi dialer.

Removing the HTC Volume control messes up YouTube volume stuff.

I am. I disabled the HTC dialer using the cab you include. Soft reset. No more Tachi.... notification popup still there. Oh well. It was worth a try. Maybe just changing dialer won't do it. It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying enough that I won't use that dialer for the next build if you think that's the culprit. Come to think of it, I'll just do a test-build without and see what happens. Report back later.

For those of you who have used both dialers on my ROM, which do you prefer -- HTC stock or Tachi? I'm still not sold on Tachi personally.

it looks cool for sure. I would say keep it as long as it doesn't cause other issues. I noticed a couple strange freezes but that could be because I normally just use the wm dialer. either way is fine with me. love the volume control by the way! youtube volume control works very good.

I like the Tachi dialer. I haven't noticed any problems with it.
