My first impression of the 6.1 ROM was that it was really really fast and awesome.

But after I install a few apps and reboot, it hangs and doesn't boot til I do a hard reset. I'm trying to narrow down which app is the real problem. I'm installing BeyondPod, Sprint Nav, Google Maps, Opera, and SPB Phone Suite.

You may just need to flash the stock rom first, then reflash grooveROM.

Thanks for all your work Inda, one question is there a way to remove menus such as pics from the main screen. Some things just take space and arent needed in day to day operation. I'm on build 6 and very smooth I love the TFlo smoothness of 6.5 can't wait to try build 7

Re: [3-26-09] ** grooveROM 4 ** wm6.1 & wm6.5 versions -- (21038.1.6.0) & (21198.5.0.

Inda,

I haven't had a chance to install build 7 yet, but I installed build 6 last night and I have a question. After the initial setup I got a quick look at the default blue theme. The wallpaper was different from the previous version of the default theme. Then, within a couple seconds the customization started up. After the customization was complete, I changed back to the default theme only to find that it was the old one. If you have a chance, can you take a look at this? Thx.

P.S. Build 6 was HUGE improvement over build 5.... I'm sure 7 is even better (I'll install it tonight). To anyone that has been relunctant to install WM 6.5 because of the latency... you can go ahead and install now. It is very fast!

I just cooked a ROM with the 21198 SYS and ROM folders, and I lost my battery icon in the taskbar on the today screen. Did I miss something on fixing this?

I searched for a few minutes, but didn't see anyone talking about this - I probably completely missed it though.

When I go to enter a name to send a text message, not only do I get the HTC name choice, but the default windows names pop up, too. Both menus try to cancel each other out, and I basically have to dial a person's name in the phone, and then say send text. Any workaround for this?

I just found it in the registry -
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Taskbar

Change LimitedClock to DWORD 1

I'm not sure which list is which, but I will keep typing the name until the person I want is in the list popping down from the TO: field, then select them there. Hope that helps some...
