Help--Now that I'm Flashing so often...

Could anyone please be kind enough to aid me in backing up some of the "favorites" and etc.?

like for ex: save the "opera6.adr" from windows...

but what about for "people" for the tfl3d's favorite people?
--weather locations?
--favorite programes?

I tried using spbbackup and pimbackup but i guess i am not using them right bec. when flashing to upgrade a rom they just don't come out right...

+1 for sashim... but if you're having trouble using straightforward apps like PIM and SPB backup...

not a big fan of spb. u goan need to ge the dupedupe.cab from one of the threads. some one was kind enough to solve the problem of spb duplicating contacts. other than that. spb is fine. u can customize both back up and restore. i am gona try thsi sashimi thing. looks l33t

For me...I have an .xml file that I install via my SDConfig file, and what it does, it loads my email accounts (all 3 of them - including exchange), loads my weather information for TF3d, loads my opera.adr and opera.ini, and loads shortcuts to my start menu of all of my programs that are on my storage card.

My .xml file also loads the 18 shortcuts to the Program Launcher page in TF3d.

I still cannot back up and restore my pim.vol, so my Favorites have to be manually set each time.

Thanks guys for ur suggestions.
The thing with the spbbackup was that, after "full-backup" and then recovering... if i do the "full-recovery" then wouldn't the newer rom be "messed up" esp. w/ the new registry tweaks and all?

So I guess if someone can tell me which of those "fully-backed up" files i need to recover so that I recover....all the above mentioned favorites, but not mess with the new tweaks and updated files. (btw, i don't necessarily need the contacts and appointments data bec i sync w/ outlook)

what u talked about, that's exactly what i mean...email accts, opera, prog favs, people favs...
and that sounds like a good idea...using SDConfig file, but i don't know how to go about doing it...

if it's now too difficult i would like to learn
