Re: Help me change the pagepool

Did you find the string twice? If you find the string twice, you can hex edit it. If you don't find it twice, then you can use pagepool changer.

The string is not found at all. So I used pagepool changer and after the flash, I checked the memory and no change

EDIT:

Found "03 15 A0 03 06 16 A0 13 00 10 83 E5 E9 BB FF EB"

On Juicy's 4.4. I'm trying a test flash to see if it works.

UPDATE:

Works on Juicy's 4.4. I'm stumped for Mightys

Re: Help me change the pagepool

Yea I used juicys and found one instance of 03 15 and used pagepool changer and it made it 32mb.

I used another rom and found 20 16 (32mb) and pagepool changer didn't work. I hex edited and it worked.

Thats my problem, I don't understand whats missing.
are you 100% sure you're opening the correct nbh file? i have a couple roms saved on my desktop, and when i open up the pagepool changer, by default it opens the last nbh i had selected. i was like "why the EFF isn't it working?!" and it was because i was changing a previous nbh file, not the one i wanted to.

yep. I tried it twice. I ripped mighty's rom to calc's kitchen and changed via pagepool before cooking and it didn't stick. I then tried mighty's prebuilt rom with the included pagepool and it didnt stick.

Re: Help me change the pagepool

I am not sure I completely understand the pagepool concept. If I have a program that runs and returns an out of memory exception (on the second load, the first one seems to work fine) would increasing the pagepool on my rom help or hurt?

Re: Help me change the pagepool

Although it's kinda cheating you can use XIPPorterEX to change PP in the XIP without any HEX editing.
