Re: How to reflash stock sprint ROM?

Damn, just saw OMJ was already using that radio! It must be something else. I'm able to connect to the internet so what could I have possibly done to my PRI? Is there any setting I should check?

You seem to be a little confused. The radio and the rom are really separate, except the shipped/stock one that came from Sprint. When you flash to custom roms, that doesn't change your radio....you would have to do that manually. The great thing is, that you can not only choose the rom that fits you best, you can also select the radio that works best for you. There is one other thing to remember....there are a few of us, who always use clear storage after flashing to a new rom, and it seems to minimize any random ill effects. Hope your missed calls are a thing of the past....good luck.

edit....just saw your post. It could be A/S, try reinstalling it. Or it could be that your phone just has issues. Get the insurance!

Re: How to reflash stock sprint ROM?

Ok, it has to be something with either ActiveSync or at least the port. It worked 40 times in a row and then I hooked it to ActiveSync and it stopped working, even after I unplugged it again. I'm wondering if it's software of if the port shorts out the radio somehow for a period of time? I still show bars.

Re: How to reflash stock sprint ROM?

I think I may need to deal with insurance. I've now found that sometimes when I plug it in, whether it be activesync or to the wall that it stops receiving calls. It gets fixed once I place a call from the phone. So strange but I'm getting more and more confident it's a hardware issue. I'm just really not looking forward to getting a refurb!

They don't always give you a refurbished phone. I had problems with my Touch a couple of times, and I always got a brand new one.

Really? They told me over the phone it'd be refurbished. So you just had toe $7/month insurance and brought it to the store?

Yes, I've always carried the $7 plan, since the early days of my 6700. I really don't like taking the phone into the store, so I take it to the tech repair facility....
