In this upgrade I took some simple programs and re-did the OEM so they are installed into windows. I didn't fix the link. :)
Anywho, ClearTemp is fixed, ditching arcsoft, re-adding sprint picturemail and sMMS, ditching weather editor, and trying a weather database with all the US cities from the TPro Essentials thread. I'll briefly test and update it all soon... :geek:

Deleting and recreating the link using Total Commander fixed it, if that helps.

the HD weather has all the US cities in it, if you like the look of that tab better, you could replace it.

still cant find that sprintmusic.ink shortcut

i replaced a few files to see if i can get rid of this text problem will let everyone know the results.

i also reaplaced the Message Sent notification in SMMS to something a little different. will post screen shot after flashhttp://i43.tinypic.com/m93fgx.jpg

Hey if you are cooking anyway,:thumbleft: what do you think about throwing in the TELENAV update? It makes it much nicer looking. Cab included, txt is just install instructions I copied.

Oh, and I almost forgot, the Profile Tab has the same prob Calcu's ROM had last time I tried it before yours, where Event Sounds button is not accessible. It is there, but the tab snaps down again when you let it go and it covers the Event Sounds button. Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

And I'm a big fan. :laughing3:

I'll try the new telenav this build, didn't like the login last time I think, and I see the event sounds button... Definately a quirk, but not life threatening since it accessable elsewhere and only accessed seldomly. So I'll tackle that next... Gotta build and test them fixes... And gonna ditch battery monitor as well, the battery is as good as it's gonna get on this beast.

BTW, just because I never reported in before, I came over from Calcu's build, and the battery time seriously doubled. And I hardly have to install anything.:cheers:

Honestly it has nothing to do with the reasons why my employer dumped them for AT&T years ago... Totally tweaking my Sprint device...sorry...

Exactly. I don't "lock" my roms and I encourage folks to personalize them. I'll even answer any questions you may have about construction, deconstruction, etc... I only have this rom up to show off my tutorials and what a rom should be after tweaking it. A rom shouldn't be drag-n-drop... :geek:

And caleb, let me know what you need in a verizon version and I'll see about putting one up as well. There are quite a few verizon users on this board, and I aim to please the whole crowd! (cricket, your not big enough to be considered a crowd...lol)

hey not to be a whiny bich but anyone have info on the wm 6.1 hotfix KB958639 to hopefully fix my pop e-mail problems and when running it I get the error message the version my device is running isn't windows mobile 6.1 but 6.1 (AKU 1.4.3.0)?

Simple question running off a new laptop "rapitool.exe stopped working" and willnot allow me to flash a lil advice...???


Edit: nevermind fixed it by re-installing WMDC, oddly enough...

Only the contact tab. I'll wait for this to get better. I'm not really one that runs something because it's new and put up with it halfway working because it's version 5.84, two hundreth's of a model number higher than the jones who are only running version 5.82... :) I don't follow crowds, and I prefer solid.

Have you been customizing? :) the music store link should be in OEMAPPS. Just delete "Sprint Music.lnk" and that should kill it. You have more pics for us you say? And I like your choice of menubar icons, if you can keep the HTC Start menu ico, I'd like to try those if you don't mind sharing.

And what happened to the new smileys when posting???

Hi - I'm having an issue with calls not ringing through on the clean ROM. There's just no indication someone called at all until MUCH later. That can be very bad when one is deperately waiting for the furnace repair guy to call back...

Just before flashing to RSTG, I was using Calcu's kitchen to cook my own, and there was an issue with the kitchen that was causing this too. He said in a change log that he fixed it, but I don't think he ever specified how...

Haven't had that problem, I get that call from that zombie debt collector every other day at 2:00pm still. :) I can look into though...

If your getting a call on your cell everyday at a certain time you can stop that from happening. I had it happen to me at 8:30 am everyday for a month. I got sick of it, and did a little research. Here's the deal. Next time they call tell them that it is a against FCC regulations to call a cell phone without permission, and that you did not give them permission. They will say that they did not know that it wasnt ok, and ask what other # they could reach you at. When they asked me what other # I said "no," (I have no home phone, just cell), and they told me "Oh well we'll find one," to which I told them "Good Luck with that."

They tried calling my work also, not sure what happened with that, but I eventually cleared up the debt, as I was disputing it, and later won the dispute. That was interesting find.

funny thing for me is that they put someone else's debt into my name because we have a same last name. It doesn't make sense since I have different first name and different ssn... wth...

If they get their box back, they won't credit it to your account without a number off the UPS label. While this debt is cleared up with dishnetwork, apparently it is still being sold amongst debt collectors. Strange breed they are...

the SprintMusic.ink is not in my OEMAPPS, could you provide the file so i could put it in the folder ( which should ask me to replace the old one, which will allow me to see it so i can delete it?)
along with the manila file to get the updated weather database?

and for the life of me i cannot get the 5 bar reg edit to stay in Oemizer, i put it in just like you said, and it will not register when i flash, i have to manually change it each time.

will post pics in a min of my set up :)

Now to your dish network problem bug them i many other area like no channels stuff not working ect... also ask for a account specilist then your going to cancel if somefree bee are not offered i have the unlimited everthing and all hd channel plus 1 hd dvr 622 2 hd 722 2 hd for $95 a month i also have a sonicveiw 360 google for info.](*,):twisted::twisted::scratch:

it just shows the icon that you are on when you are on it, otherwise it is invisible. i am trying to find someone to modify a manila file for me, cause i suck at it, i like to have my home screen showing for pics. ill be posting more pics in a lil while of what it all looks like. ( it wont be complete untill i can get that file altered)

Dish network fu**** up my credit score. 2 years ago I too didnt send back the reciever correctly. After months of calling them I got it strightened out or so I thought. A year later I get a $77 bill from them, I call them to try and figure out what its about, well I can no longer talk to the normal people because I no longer have an account, finnally talk to someone and again think I get it strightened out. Next thing I know this last summer I am getting those annoying phone calls on my cell phone on which I choose to ignore, dont ya just love caller ID. In november I go to my credit union to borrow some money for an RV, the lady there calls me and says there is a problem, and its of coarse its with the credit dept. from dish. So I call them settle the debt for $50, that made me so mad but I had no choice. The lady at the credit union informed me when I had last borrowed money from them 2 years ago my credit score was 803, now its 680 :angry7:.

Hey Rstoyguy, for some reason I downloaded rstg_Diam_1.7.16 and it didn't work on my diamond?? For example, I couldn't use tf3d so now i have 1.7.11...Oh one more thing, any updates on the texting? Sometimes it freezes...Thanks again

In addition to the sometimes not-ringing phone, my battery life has been really poor on the clean ROM. This was also a common problem with Calcu's 4.2 and 4.2.1 kitchens. So, there must be something in that leaked Sprint ROM causing battery and ringing issues. I think I might still be on 1.7.11k though - I've sorta lost track. So, I'll flash 1.7.14, see if that helps and then report back.

What radio are you using? I switched from the Telus radio to the leaked Sprint radio when I installed rstoy's ROM the first time, and the difference was night and day. For the better. I don't know if its just the radio or a combination of the radio and system files in the leaked ROM, or tweaks for that matter, but I can easily get into a second day of normal use for me without a recharge, which I could't do before. Obvious number differences in Battery Monitor.

I only use calcu's kitchen, I don't use any of the OEM's or anything from the SYS's, so I doubt that has anything to do with that. I've got a build I'm testing today and should have an update this evening....
