Is there any way to use the numeric pad, or phone pad, not sure what its called, when I'm text messaging?

On the clean rom, I inadvertently left out HTC Album. :( I plan on updating the clean rom and regular rom tonight. I'm gonna discontinue the Buuf rom and provide instructions and a link to the .cab. With a busy work schedule it's too much to maintain so many builds and different roms. I'll also provide links to some alternative themes that will work. And this board is full of manila customizations so you all can customize it further...

Tonights release, don't recall everything, but: a few fixes, Added incall recording, Clear Temp, and something else...Later tonight or early in the morning.

That's cool. I like the Buuf theme, but have had no trouble using it as a cab (except that weird issue with it knocking out FM once, but I think that was a fluke). For me, I like to use themes, but when I've just randomly pulled them from XDA I've had some weird issues (like when my clock starting flipping backwards madly and my carrier said it was T-Mobile). Juggalo tried to explain why that happened once, but I was too dense to understand. Anyway, short-story long, just having links to ones that have been pre-determined as compatible would be really appreciated.

Also, I wanted to let folks know about a great alternative to Gyrator and Flip_it -- it's ChangeScreen, free on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...hlight=flip_it It's much easier to use than Gyrator and Flip_it and like RSTG, the developer is very friendly and accessible. It probably doesn't make sense to cook it in since it can be installed easily, but just wanted to pass that on.

All the themes are easy to install and update, so I say spend your time on making this thing kick *** even more. I am gonna try that ChangeScreen tonight, I am gonna put it on in a bit and see how it works when I am working. Gyrator can be a pain in the rear, so something different couldn't hurt. Rom update, I'll also be updating the clean rom in the morning, updated first post, Only stuff in green is in the clean rom.
It isn't so clean any more, but it is a almost-bare-bones-fun-and-functional-rom! You might want to set InCallRecording (StartMenu-Programs)
Options to record to storage card so it will record to \Internal Storage\Recordings. It will be fixed in the next release...

Sorry brock1909, don't get the issues. Tried all the other keyboards out there, and they all act the same when I use them.... The messaging thing I'm looking into tomorrow.

Everyone has their own definition of "clean" right? How about a functional clean rom? With Google Maps and all the stuff dreading likes...

Well, really the only "all the stuff" is the FM Radio since that HAS to be cooked in. :mrgreen: I use MP3 Trimmer and Google Maps too, but don't mind if they're not cooked in since I can find working cabs for both.

But you're right "clean" is in the mind of the beholder...

i appreciate it man. its crazy that your rom is the only one that it happens on, and it figures that your rom is the only one i want to keep.

i hope you understand what is going on, i put that pic up, im sure you seen it. i only use touchpal, and small keyboard as i said. but the first letter not inputting and then it not registering the texts as read makes no sense to me.it just drives me crazy seeing as i send like 7000 texts a month, its a big problem for me. again i appreciate you trying to find the cure.

Just want to say that Im running 1.7.11 and this rom is spot on .The only trouble that I have had is texting issue i.e. (first letter not showing up when I start my first word.) This is in no way a grip, just reafirming what others have said. Please do not take this the wrong way, your ROMS are the best for what I use my phone for. Thank You

hey huge thanks for putting the ruu in with the file rom, the one I was using was messed up for some reason, after a week I look forward to seeing what you did...and the "you are now connected to active synch" is a nice touch :)

Yep, my rom "Talks". :)

As far as the keyboard issues... I have tested 4 different keyboard and do not have the issue. Of course that little slider I have set on ABC instead of xt9. If you select xt9, this is the buggiest piece of windows-ware yet. If anyone finds the fix, let me know. I searched for several hours today and only saw folks complain about it. I can disable those keyboards and add more alternatives, but .........

Sometimes when I text with the SPB keyboard version 4 there are pauses where the phone momentarily freezes and I can't type, then it seems to resolve in a few seconds. Is this one of the known issues? I didn't have this issue with juicy's rom. Not a big deal but it would be nice if it didn't happen.

not sure if anyone has posted about this but the music on tf3d i use it alot just b/c of convenience but it only plays about 2-3 seconds of a song then stops also the panels only flipped once while trying to flip through the albums/songs. It seems to be broken or something let me know if you could look into this other than that i havent seen any issues but will report back put it on the gf's diamond she's a big winer. Oh by the way using the new full rom you just posted 1.7.14

I think this is a bug with a lot of the newer roms, not just the RSTG rom. Don't think any fixes have been found, but if they have I am sure someone will help us out :)

I'll upload an update this morning with ArcSoft PictureMail and the above action screen. And I've haven't seen any issues with the music tab myself.

I prefer smms and sprint picturemail. Arcsoft is way too buggy and unsupported. I am running 1.7.14 and love it. Sticking with that one for now.

Then an alternative update tonight then on the picture mail...

And to disable the action screen, delete the data from the following 2 keys

HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
"HomeSLKPath"=""
"HomeSLKText"=""

But yeah, bad choice on my part for ArcSoft. I'll put back in SprintPicMail and sMMS...

RS, I'm trying to run the wm 6.1 hotfix KB958639 to hopefully fix my pop e-mail problems and when running it I get the error message the version my device is running isn't windows mobile 6.1 but 6.1 (AKU 1.4.3.0)...can I get a translation please?

Great ROM, although I had to delete some sounds and themes to install a few programs. Definitely my fav for how I like my ppc, save maybe some games. ICBM must stay. ;)

I tried Internet Sharing for the first time with this ROM (1.7.11 Buuf) and although I am pretty sure it was working on the last build I was using, I am now getting Error Code 67 Registration Failure. Can anyone help out with a fix? Should I do the connect/disconnect trick? If I need to Hard Reset, I need to get on it like today, as I will be traveling Friday and will need Internet for my laptop. Thanks for the help!

I installed Skyfire today right before I tried, and it was acting flaky, not displaying the keyboard, but I don't think that should make a difference?

Maybe i'm retarded but i see images for emoticons but i can't seem to insert them into text messages. Is this actually a feature on this rom or am i trying to do something that's not possible?

so I am getting an htc touch diamond in a couple days, and was wondering, does this ROM have all the stock sprint stuff plus all the other stuff?

And is there a place to find the flash lite program stand alone for opera mobile, or do I just have to flash this rom to do it?

Tethering is enabled on this ROM at least, right? It seems that when you get that code it blocks access for 20 min., so its hard to trouble-shoot. I never loose internet access on the phone though. Should I just try the newest ROM?

ClearTemp doesn't work in the new ROM, see below.

I also have the Weather tab issues, tried to hard-reset to check if it was that way, and I found the ClearTemp issue.

Uh, ClearTemp and ClearStorage are not the same thing... oops.
Either way, ClearTemp isn't working, even if it does something different, maybe its an old link?
