This is heading toward being the best ROM I have used so far, we'll see how it stands up to a full day of work.

Thanks for the kind words!

I've had trouble with G-light occasionally crashing with pretty much evey ROM I've ever used. I imagine there will be a new version coming along very soon, and I hope it addresses these crashing issues because that is a very useful application.

Re: [1/17/09] Blue ROM v1.9 FINAL NOW FOR TELUS, TOO!(CE OS 5.2.21109/Build 21109)

Hi there

Installed this and everything looks good, especially the four arrow buttons for the input. That makes the input more convinient. Thanks!

The only thing I notice is the signal icon. It shows a plane on top of the signal bars. Is it means roaming? I'm on Telus. I hope I'll not get a huge bill because I'm 'roaming' in my home town.

It's a satellite receiver, not a plane. Sorry, my poor eye sight!

I am used to a steady 93ma (BT off) with screen on bright but otherwise at rest.

Hi Bob,
I've been running a battery meter since you posted this, and I got varying results with 1.9. Overall, I'm seeing 85 & 140 MAh on average.

I'm currently testing an early Alpha of a future ROM, and it's averaging 103 MAh in mixed usage since midnight last night when I flashed it. The overnight was 57 MAh average, and that's with the mail being polled every 60 minutes. Just a little something to forward to!

I knew oce you really looked at it, you'd see it's a dish!

Any update on observed battery life? I'm debating about building a 2.0 based on some leaked ROM components, due to it's improved battery life, but I want to make sure it's worthwhile, otherwise, I'll just cook the changes into the "new" project!

I have used it for nearly two full days of work and I am very pleased. My impression is that battery life is better than I saw with Juicy 4.4 which at the time I considered very good.
My phone usage is almost all on my BT hands free which is normally murder on battery life. I notice that the battery doesn't seem to drop as quickly and the phone doesn not get as hot as it used to after a long BT call.
On top of that the BT connection is better and more stable than I remember with any other ROM.
Whatever you are doing keep it up.

Thanks for the kind words.

I guess I'll leave Blue ROM alone, then. I'll let you know when I get a stable build of my new project ROM, and maybe you can bang around in it for a couple days and give me a little feedback. It's probably about two weeks away from that stage.

What's the new project all about?

Totally different direction on the interface, tweaked OEMs with apps you haven't seen before in kitchen ROMs, hybrid SYS components, and perhaps an power management application of my own, if I can get it ready in time.
