Glad it helped, though it should work with any ROM...Cooked or stock.

Re: HOW TO: Recover a Diamond that won't get past the boot screen! (Instructions)

Sigh...!

I'm eating some shoe rite now, with a piece of humble pie.

I flashed using Juicy 8 ROM... WITHOUT reading any Juicy 8 ROM threads (Yah, you all know where it goes from here...)

I just can't get my diamond to the tri-coloured screen using the rub your belly, pat your head method. (power+vol down+enter+reset). I've done this like 10 times already...

Instead I get a message on the screen "......

WOW! HOLD ON....!! LMFAO!
I just tried to hard reset again to type in what I saw on the screen to show you guys ... and the bloody thing went to TRI-COLOURED MODE.

I BOW MY HEAD TO YOU ALL
...

FOR KNOWLEDGE
AND
FOR PATIENCE

My new sig is... I want that app...! (below)

Re: HOW TO: Recover a Diamond that won't get past the boot screen! (Instructions)

OK I need help ive got my phone to that tri color screen for whatever reason i tried to put the newest mighty rom on my phone and it refuses to install always gets error. I read around and it said try other roms to install to see if that fixes the error and that did not fix it they get the same error. Im not sure if i might answer my own question here but i lost my usb cable a while back and just started using my wifes which was for the blackberry cause it also fits the diamond. I noticed that now when it tries to install the roms it says that it is updating my pda even though the diamond is a smartphone. Could that be because of the use of the blackberry usb cable? That it thinks my phone is a pda and now gets an error when installing? either way i really need help thanks

Re: HOW TO: Recover a Diamond that won't get past the boot screen! (Instructions)

ok well ive tried doing this after i got an error trying to flash a new rom. It says this update utility cannot be used on your phone. Ive tried stock sprint roms every rom i can get my hands on and get the same error. Im not sure whats going on ive flashed my diamond multiple times the same way and never got an error yet. If anybody can help that would be great ive been able to get to bootloader mode but cant get any rom to actually fully install thanks

Re: HOW TO: Recover a Diamond that won't get past the boot screen! (Instructions)

was unlocking my phone (the HTC Touch Pro 2 <sprint>) and I was using a Diamond unlocker (I thought it would be fine), but during the process there was a connection error and now my phone seems to be bricked. I can't get it to even turn on, get to a bootloader screen, or anything even remotely close.
The one odd thing that it does though, is when I connect it to my computer, it pops up and my computer recognizes there is a device there. In my Device Manager there is an unknown device called: Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM. I have tried every combination of two buttons, including holding down the reset button with all of them, but nothing gets me anywhere.
If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. Let me know if you need any more information.

Re: HOW TO: Recover a Diamond that won't get past the boot screen! (Instructions)

Any thoughts on this one?

Lately the last week or so i have been getting the boot lockup with constant vibration alot. LAst 4 roms i tried from Mystery, omj and energyrom resulted in post flash lockups or later on lock ups or resets(i have had success with all 3 chefs so this is a new issue)... I flashed back to stock today and i got the vibration lockup again... I did a reset and so far so good. Im sitting with a stock telus rom right now..

Is there any hardware issues here? OR is it simply a case of some failed flashes? bump usb cable? Or just bad luck?

Is there a way to do a deep format to wipe or scrub out the poop from my diamond? Or is the process of flashing back to stock essentially that?

thanks

Well, I usually do a windows>>settings>>system>>clear storage after each flash to ensure all the remnants of the previous flash on ram get wiped completely. There is also a check box if you want the wipe extended to the internal storage.
