Re: [12-09-08] Juicy ROM 4.1 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]

Okay so I've been crying about streaming live tv thru orb for the past few days and on the back end I've been trying to find the solution to the issue.

Well suddenly I have good video streaming with orb and there is only one thing that I changed. I even undid my change to see if the choppy video would come back and it did. So I need someone to test this for me just to verify it the solution is really as easy as I think it may be.

Here's what I'm using and doing....

Browser: IE
Media player: WMP

The only thing I did is...

Open IE>Menu>View... change to desktop

Honestly, that is all I did! What I noticed is that in desktop view, when orb runs the speed check I was returning much faster speeds than when I was in Mobile view.

Bottom line is I switched back to mobile view and the problem came back. Obviously I want some people to test this out on their device because it's hard for me to believe that the fix is really this easy.

Please quote me in your reply so I can watch for feedback. Thanks and I have my fingers crossed that this works!

BUG REPORT!!!! BUG REPORT!@!!!!!

In 4.1, when I am using the standard Today screen.
When I set a Today background, it would show incorrectly (The image would paste "below" the start menubar, not "under" it). In other words, it would not match with the bg image when I tap on the Start menu (because the background for the start menu would be the image itself)

i just wanted to confirm the bug. and although touch3d is very pleasing to look at, i enjoy the versatility available with just the regular today screen.

I've noticed something very similar although I also updated my radio ROM at the same time so it might not have anything to do with Juicy's ROM. While I do sometimes get all bars, I've noticed that I display only 1 or 2 bars much more frequently than I used to. I haven't noticed Opera running any slower (if anything it might be faster) but I think Google Maps is a bit slower than it used to be. My battery life seems quite improved and I've noticed that the back doesn't get as hot as it used to so even if it is a bit slower, I think I would probably still keep it.
