Re: [12-09-08] Juicy ROM 4.1 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]

checked, on a fresh flash, time stamps are still wrong, did a lot of reading over at xda, and it seems a lot of people have the same people, with a number of roms

I am not sure if I am still connecting to REV A just the idicator only shows EV or if I am really only connecting to EVDO.

Also I noticed that since I put 4.0 on my phone (also 4.1) my signal has shown no more then two bars, usually showing one bar or no bars...
I 'appear' to still connect properly and get a good data rate. Also no dropped calls. I will have to tether the phone and test it out tonight.

I installed 4.1 last night and so far i LOVE it!!! My Resco keyboard still won't work, but I know your working on that. Other then that; the rom is super fast, and sturdy!!

My texts time stamps seem to be fine, I'll have to take a closer look.

Re: [12-09-08] Juicy ROM 4.1 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]

went back to stock bell rom, and the text stamp is normal again, going to try and install juicy's rom over it now again, hopefully it fixes it, i think the problem could be related to PIM backup (and yes i did hard reset after the flash)\

edit: fresh flash of juicy's 4.1 and still the same stamp. A text message sent at 12:23 pm, has a stamp of 5:23 pm, so about 5 hours ahead

edit 2: juicy, i noticed that the starting of the phone skips the time zone selection, i remember on the vogue this was an option in the kitchen when cooking roms, could u possibly tell me if thats enabled? and if so, to what time zone? thanks in advance

ive tried recreating the problem, it happens with 3.9 as well, but not with 3.8, im going to try mighty rom 3.3 now, because its just getting annoying.

edit 3: went to 3.3 mightrom, and same problem. what is going on here? im baffled

Haven't had any problems with 4.1; very stable. Using it on Verizon with Arcsoft MMS (Which had terrible problems on Mightyrom)

Timestamps are correct as well.

I'm having this exact same problem, same thing 5 hours ahead and I'm on Bell too. My first Juicy ROM was 3.4 and it's been doing that since then (on 4.1 right now). It's definitly a timezone issue but my timezone is correctly set in Windows and my time is obviously good on the Home page.

I got used to it, I know I have to substract 5 hours but it would be nice if it could be fixed.

What we are seeing is actually the GMT time if i'm not mistaking. We're both in EST (i'm in Montreal) and EST is GMT-5h so it looks like Bell is using a GMT timestamp and the phone is not doing the conversion while the other providers may be sending the SMS in local timezone right away. My guess is there must be a simple registry key that can control wheter or not a conversion is done on the time..

Or it may be the other way around, we're receiving the sms in local timezone and the phone is doing a conversion it shouldn't do.

I'm on EST -5 for the east coast and mine is fine??? Where exactly is the discrepancy? Maybe I'm over looking it.
