Re: WM6.1 20931 kitchen

Got back from dinner and ran updater again when prompted by BuildOS.
It updated a few files- this time when I ran BuildOS, I didn't get the first error, but I did get the second one and then it closed itself.
Trying to open different projects- even for the Apache instead of Victor- gets the same result, although the error messages seem to differ slightly.

It helps if you tell what the error is and what you were doing when you got it.

You will not be able to open selections.txt from prior versions of buildos. You will need to use the Create New Project tab to make new ones.

First I see:
BuildOS
Unable to load build objects.
Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\Projects\Groups\Build Bases'.
[OK]

Then:
BuildOS
Error while reading group configuration file
XipFilename=Victor_20924_109.enc.bin
Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.
Sorry, I thought you had seen the previous post.
At this point, I dbl-click on BuildOS and it starts to load. I hear the Chef say "Welcome back" then my projects list comes up. I select Victor~20924 and I get the latter error. I click [OK] and everything closes. Consistently.
Slightly different errors, but same result if I select any other projects.
This is all entirely new installs on a clean WindowsXP install.

Saw it, but since you reran w/ new buildos, didn't know if it related.

You are using an old selections.txt file. Don't do that. Make new ones using Create New Project.

I'll look into why it closes...not supposed to do that!

Ah- that worked.
Took a few tries because there wasn't any selection for device type and it kept telling me to select one. But after a few restarts I got it and now running fine.
I'm using a custom ROM that I made with another Kitchen [TC/GF v5] and I'll probably play with it for a day or two before I try this one; but it's nice to know that I have options.
Thanks again.
I hope all of you guys (who are in the US or US citizens celebrating abroad) had a great Thanksgiving. Because of this great resource, I know I have something to be thankful for!

Re: WM6.1 20931 kitchen

plz help, trying to figure out how you got HTCAlbum to be the default viewer for pics and videos in your new Victor Kitchen. I'm stuck with pimg.exe.
Already tried hklm-software-htc-htcalbum default_viewer (1) but I think its got to be a bunch of class associations or something with the fullscreeen player.
Other than that, congrats on te new site and many upgrades to buildOS!
